"Try Budapest...It's vibrant and quirky, especially the Jewish quarter with the ruin bars
Budapest is good. But if you are looking for a city unspoiled by tourism try eger in northern Hungary. Lovely restaurants and bars.. A tremendous spa facility where the pool and hot tubs are underground and a tremendous historical story "

Europe city breaks is our thing but right now I decided to go a bit further and ended up in Thailand
Barcelona is my favourite city, followed by Rome and Amsterdam but I'd say Barcelona is easiest for a short short break

Loved Rome and Barcelona and Prague is definitely worth a visit.
I so need to try out Amsterdam though. Always somewhere I’ve wanted to go but never got round to it.
Soon perhaps. |

Riga was amazing but take an empty suitcase clothes and shoes were amazing and so cheap, Bars, Clubs and food were great and such a pretty city in the centre but with such contrast a few streets in loved it |

Little bit out there, but I'd massively recommend Sarajevo. A beautiful, inspiring, vibrant city with friendly people, a sense of optimism and natural beauty.
Friendliest country and people I have ever visited and met.

"Tallin was great - really took me by surprise. Welcoming people, great old town, fabulous beaches and forest just outside the city. Mad street art and a funky Scandi take on life."
Thank you x |

We went a Christmas and it was excellent, one of my favourite places. There and Finland. Very similar cultures. |

"Valencia is lovely and lots to do.
Friends went to bratislava and loved it but haven't been myself. Its definitely not one of the usual though!
Strasbourg is a personal favourite.

I stayed in Bratislava for 2 years. It’s very cosmopolitan and cheap for food, drink and hotels. The average summer temperature is about 24-28. I think flights leave from Edinburgh on a Thursday and return Sunday. Highly recommended |

Prague and Amsterdam has been our favourite weekends away to date. We went to Iceland for 3 days recently but you really need longer as there is so much to do there. We would love to visit Budapest, again heard it’s beautiful |

Another vote for Budapest. A gorgeous city, so much to see and do. I will say though, a weekend really isn't enough to experience all the city has to offer, you'll need at least 4-5 days to do the city justice. |

Lisbon is an amazing city with loads to do!
Amsterdam and Madrid are two other favourites. Seville is also amazing, hot, and pretty cheap.
Budapest is on my list of places to go too! |
