I watched most of first series and it was good! then stupidly read a spoiler so knew what happened near the end of the series and I just couldn’t watch ... never went back!

For women mostly but the history of how the english treated the Scottish are pretty accurate but it's like a womans romance novel put on the screen

That's exactly what it is. A series of them in fact!

I started and I'm near the end of a season - I think 2 or 3? Anyway, something horrible is about to happen and I can't bring myself to watch it again yet
