Do like Brewdog as a nice pub to chill and chat with friends, Dukes is good also for the same and has more diverse food choices (also better for us who prefer cider to beer...).
For a nice little restaurant, try Gidi Grill in the City Quay area.
The King Of Islington is awesome for rum cocktails, but is tiny, so can be busy - and watch out as opening a tab can quickly catch you out
Can combine drink, food, cinema and culture events at the DCA. Perhaps also check out the V&A museum while you're here. |

Haven't been inside a dance club in many years and Dundee's rock/metal clubs seem to have all dried-up in the last few years, so can't help you with that part of your request, sorry.
(If anyone can correct me about a rock/metal club or regular event other than DUSA stuff, please message me ) |

There’s a new speakeasy that’s opened on the Perth Road called Capone’s, it’s underneath 172 at the Caird. Not been yet but looks great
Medina does some nice cocktails, club wise there’s Club Tropicana at Fat Sams |
