It’s commercialised yes however you can choose what and how you treat your partner with . There’s flowers in the house every week of the year I make them different today I’m lucky my other half dislikes red roses so avoid 95% of the hyped prices . You can make your own card or buy a handmade one . Luckily it’s my day off I’ll make her dinner so thats easy . ( I do most of the cooking anyway ) Rember it’s not always the expensive things that matter it’s the little things that count . ( unless they’re diamonds )   |

Yup why do we need to feel forced into buying over priced flower that have a price increase on them for an over commercialised day go to a restaurant a meal only to be told there's a set overly priced menu for valentines day |

I agree with this.
There's flowers in my house every week and my husband buys me little treats when he thinks I could do with a pick me up and I do the same for him but on valentines day we stop for a minute in our busy day to give each other a longer kiss, cuddle and say I love you. It's moments like that, that mean the most |
