"Burns was a lowlander and would never have worn and kilt and would turn in his grave if he knew people wore kilts to celebrate his life"
Perhaps people enjoy getting dressed up and celebrating scotland.
The burns connection could be attributed to him often wearing black and white checked plaid in colder weather. |

It's not a celebration of scotland but a celebration of burns and his life and works. As I said he would never have worn a kilt, it's noted and plenty of information about him from friends ect. So it's more of a kick in the teeth to him. Kilts are highland dress and the lowlanders like burns would have wanted nothing to do with it |

I thought burns was Scottish ?
I said he wore black and white plaid aka tartan not a kilt.
He’d be more affronted at yoons celebrating his life when he was clearly anti union. |

"At Cj's last night for the Burns night and i only spotted one male wearing a kilt. Are they not as popular as they were in years gone by?. Would you wear one or do you prefer to wear trousers?"
The ladies made up for it |
