Best thing I ever did mate. I had to get it for similar reasons.
The sensation definitely calms down. But it has to or you'd not be able to walk.
But it doesn't detract from the feelings during sex. If anything they're enhanced.
I say go for it. Also makes it look better. Cleaner and smoother. Most girls I've met since have preferred it. Others indifferent and no one disliked it shall we say.
Takes a few months to fully heal. |

Obviously I'm no medical expert, but was circumcised as a baby (medical reasons not religious), so feel qualified to comment, or at least question posts above.
A couple of people have said you lose some sensation if your circumsised.. is this really true? Because my knob is pretty sensitive and if hooded guys are more sensitive than me they must go through the roof whenever a pair of lips (either type) come near it.

Good advice. I had mine done for similar reasons about six years ago. It's does dim the sensation slightly, but for me that was a necessary evil! 
No problems since and always squeaky clean!
