Ladies, interested to run a poll of sorts here.

I’m shaved head and beard in my middle age.

I’ve recently had a bit of a ‘rejection’ because of the beard, in that it’s ‘unhygienic’. I get it’s not for everyone but I take my hygiene seriously. Shaved everywhere else bar my face. The beard is washed, shampooed, conditioned and oiled daily in order to keep it fresh and beardruff free.

Thoughts?

Make sure you're not keeping some stray food in it to snack on later

Eagerly went to your profile to see if you had a pic showing your beard, so disappointed. lol

I love beards, especially a nicely shaped and maintained one. Nothing excessively bushy though.

I very much don't. It's probably the most looked after part of me.

I’m not a fan of bald heads but love a well kept beard. If your beard looks like you’ve been hiding in a bunker in Iraq for three months then I’d pass on that

I like having a beard, keeps me nice and cosy wosy. People are stupid thinking that they are dirty, if they were dirty then nobody would have them, same thing with dreadlocks as they must be kept clean in order to lock together

I don't have anything against beards, but I do think some guys suit them and some don't.

As for the bald head, hubby's the same so it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Not a fan of beards. A short, well maintained one I could still cope with, but anything longer than about half an inch would put me off x

Interesting to ladies views. From what I’m come across it’s either yes or no, there’s no inbetween. Been in a few situations when getting on well with some and then when we do swap face pics instant block cause of a beard.

Yip been there too. As I said to the female yesterday, I’m not gonna change my way for the sake of a meet. Too many guys on here would. Not I. Me and the beard are a team.

Closely shaven head or completely bald and a beard on a guy with a good build is my favourite look.

I think if I swapped pics with a woman and her beard was better than mine I'd probably block too... I'm insecure enough.

It really depends on the person and how it suits them

I don’t mind it but it needs to be well kept, not bushy and clean

Some love us bearded men and some hate us.

As I'm sure some men love a hairy lady and some don't.

Personal preferences is what this site is (should) be all about

Looking at your pics your beard looks very neat and you don’t appear to have a bum or back beard so that’s promising

My one is kept relatively short and shaped, plus it is shampooed and oiled / moisturised daily. So tends to be nice and soft.

I'm 5 weeks into growing my beard, trimming it regularly and making sure oiling it and applying balm etc to keep it soft. The bit that never ceases to amaze me is the multitude of colours and shades it grows in (about the only colour that's not there is black)
