Often ponder why im less busy with all things fabwise compared to recent years.

Very easy to resign yourself to, "achh well im gettin older, had a great time when i was younger" etc.

But then i got to thinking more practically about it all, used to afford fueling up the car and heading off to wherever the next fun meet was, lovely pre-arranged stuff in nice hotels.

Im not sure about others, me personally,i simply cant afford to do all that stuff, certainly not as readily as i used to.

Interested to know if similar circs maybe dont prevent you meeting but it certainly influences/limits your freedom to meet etc.

As i say,i think its a sign of the times currently generally.

Finances do play a part in it. Since I can’t accommodate then I do have to drive or split hotel costs. Women also have the extra costs of maintaining stockings, underwear, etc.

Tbh money does not come into it whether or not i meet on here.

Im an ugly fecker, that usually keeps any overspend from EVER happening when it comes to number of meets.

My looks (if I ever had any) have certainly gone with the passing of the years. Had some great fun when away from home at my employers expence , stayed at and had fun in lots of lovely hotels. I am happy to travel and pay for a hotel out of my own pocket now but never get any offers so no point being away on my own.

Similar case where my company paid my flights hotels etc and had many many great adventures

Now I’m on my own I can’t justify the costs, it’s like “ Oh it’s Saturday right, do I spend my last £50 on food etc or throw caution to the wind book a hotel arrange a meet and starve all week

Single mum and three kids not working due to health reasons and able to get out and about all the time, I don’t smoke or drink and have an excel spreadsheet to budget everything and I’m debt free, defo a lot better off now I’m single, when I was with my ex and earning 50k each we were always skint, when I stopped working I thought I’d end up having to rely on him to take up the slack it never happened I still had more cash than him I paid for most of the wedding and when we broke up I found I have even more money, last year thanks to a few wee windfalls as it were I done a lot of travelling and had a lot of fun with my kids and on my own. This year who knows might feel a pinch not being able to have my holidays but I doubt it
