I'm a big laurel and Hardy fan, so I thought I'd pop along to the pics and checkout the new movie.

It was a funny, moving film about two best friends on the downturn of their career having to tour the theatres in the UK trying to get back in the limelight.

The sets, scenery were spot on and I'd thoroughly recommend it to anyone wanting to spend a an hour or so away from the world.

One advice though, take a hanky.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away & Spain

It’s certainly getting plugged a lot & one that has caught my attention. Dunno if I’ll see it at the cinema or wait until it hits satellite/streaming.

Coogan seems to have caught the Awards bunch for his performance though.

Its a decent film, they capture the relationship well and it tugs at the old heartstrings.

But I wouldnt be in a rush to see it again, there isnt anything to make it stand out, for me its a 5/6 out of 10, worth seeing but not special.

Coogan was fantastic, (new Alan Partridge episodes coming up) as was John C Reilly as Ollie. The pair really caught the essence of what Laurel and Hardy were all about.

Go to the pics and enjoy yourself knowing nobody will chap your door or be sending annoying texts.

I enjoyed it. Captured them to a T. The wives were a goody comedy act too.

Just as an added extra, if you go to Cineworld in Renfield St it’s just metres from where they performed at the Empire which was on Sauchiehall St.

3 to 5 weeks sounds about right for this film.

Cinema chains make their screening decisions on a Monday morning once they have seen the weekend box office figures, so it can be difficult to tell though.

Glad you enjoyed it fi, I thought the wives were really good as well.

And of course the panopticon on Trongate where Stan made his stage debut at age 16/17.
