Jump to: Newest in thread
What kind of person are you ... ??
A straight talker who says things as they are and calls a spade a spade
or
Someone who says what they think people want to hear ?
Personally im very much a straight talker but not to the point where id hurt someone with nasty words deliberalty altho have been known to in anger but always appologise once its been brought to my attention or i realise myself.
Some dont like me for my straight talking but thats their problem not mine and some respect me for it
How about you straight talker or suger and spice ? |

Being bi can I say I'm a STRAIGHT talker?
Seriously, saying it the way t is has landed me in hot water at work many times over the years. I don't go out of my way to hurt anyone's feelings though and apologise if I do but I'm definitely not a yes person or a nodding dog! |

You have to be intelligent about it, brain in gear mouth in neutral. If it needs saying and its delicate, be diplomatic about it. If its a friend being a tool, it's your job to say it how it is. |

Me like to think me is straight talking in a diplomatic way. But being human i do sometimes get it wrong. Always try to think before i jump in wi both feet. But i don't sign up for all that PC malarkey. A spade was never a gardening implement when i were a lad. Lol |

Tend to call a spade a shovel; gets me into trouble from time to time, but hey, that's other folks' problem!
Can't be bothered with ponces and double-talkers!! |

I'am definately a straight talker but never rude about it and like to think i put things in a polite way without any bullshit! However having BPD my straight talking has got me into alot of trouble over the years, as i tend to just blurt things out without thinking and say things like it is. |

I would say I'm cheesy, buy in a gd way. A few ppl don't know how to take my replies to msgs and blocked me because they prob think I'm being cheeky, but sometimes when you write something, ppl take it literally too much! |

I think some people say they are a straight talker because they think that's what people want to hear. :p Personally I'm a cheeky git most of the time, straight talker (tempered with gentleness) when necessary, sometimes too honest, sometimes too reserved, sometimes too gregarious. |

I prefer straight talking as well, cannot stand all the b.s associated with swinging, people should say what they mean, and mean what they say, lifes too short to faff about, with dithering, straight talking sometimes gets folk into bother, but then again isnt it just as well to be honest rather than string folk along? |

i am usually just polite until the eejits start demanding then i get very straight taliking.... why cant folks just be nice or is it the usual with these sites where 10% are good honest folks followed by a large percentage who just like to think they are swingers with the final percentage being absolute twats with no sense of humour/manners/real world living??? |

depends on the situation . example going to a funeral , everyone talking about how nice the guy was etc etc im not likely to say sorry folks i thought he was a dick i only here for the food , or someone shows you a pic of thier kids and says how gorgeous are they ? Again not likely to say actually they look like a couple of cross breeds of shrecks and umpa loompas , however right circumstances yeah i am , it causes offence and no i dont really care, way i dee it is if they dont like the answer they shouldnt have asked me . not all negative though , sometimes works boith ways where folk are maybe unsure how they look , when they look amazing , or they low in cnfidence in life and yet they are amongst the martest folk i know , so like i said depends on the situation . |

Like to have my diplomatic hat on but always try to be straight and honest with folks...eapecially at work and on here!!!I won't lie about who I am.I'm short but deep!!?Lol.no point in lying,If you get caught it's the end of the line.Rather be honest than something I'm not.if you're trying to make friends why lie.If I upset someone or piss them off I WILL apologise...even if that's the final word. |

Straight talking is great as long as what you say doesn't hurt someone unnecessarily. I think honesty, along with a bit of tact and diplomacy work best.

Honesty, along with a bit of tact and diplomacy work best but only if the person your speaking to realise your saying what your saying in their intrest and for a lot of people they dont know when it is. |
