Hun, babe, chick, shortarse, pecker, being called what name gives you the Heebie Jeebies, you know that feeling you got when finger nails were drawn across the chalkboard (if you don't know what a chalkboard is then Google is your friend and congrats on being young. ) |

I hate being called sexy when someone doesn’t know me in the sexy sense of the word and they haven’t actually seen me even more so, babe is just a no go for me yet I was calling my bf babe until he asked me to stop as he hates it now have to check myself lol |

I hate all terms unless they come from my hubby he has always called me babe or baby very occasionally princess and many others in the bedroom. But I really don't like it from anyone else and working in pubs etc you get it all the time.
Hate it |

A lot of it is about context. I really don't like any form of false endearment where there's no familiarity or affection already. Are you a stranger? Use my name. If you're already my friend, pet names are much less aggravating.

I use terms of endearment a lot simply cos I’m so bad at remembering names. That said, when I call someone I’m sleeping with by a name like sweety or cutie or doll etc, I do mean it in a good way. I think it’s a tricky one as so many of us (myself included) can find it pretty false. |
