A lady I messaged on site has replied that, judging by my profile pic, and the full private face-pic from which the profile pic is cropped, .. my teeth look dirty. I don't know if it was just a wilful put-down, or a genuine concern.
A great start on her part! But the thing is, she's dented my confidence.
Sure, my teeth are not perfect, - I'm in my 60s; - but even my dentist compliments me on how well I clean them. I always take trouble to clean them well, and also keep my breath fresh.
Maybe it's the particular face shot that's giving a wrong impression ?.
Please look at my profile and tell me honestly if you think my teeth look dirty in the pic. (Sincere replies only, please.)

But I had a different (non-facial) profile pic then; - changed it on your advice.

Only because this lady made the appearance of my teeth in the pic an issue. If it puts her off, maybe it puts others off too.

have seen worse teeth but everybody has a different idea of what they think is clean. in my opinion you worry too much. have been told am too old, too skinny, too fat and so on but for every negative there is a positive hiding round the corner |

I think that some people will find any small thing to have a pick at if its a way of saying no...just have to put it down to experience and move on...confidence comes from inside not your shape, looks or the colour of your teeth! Different strokes for different folks! |

if you want shiney teeth try crest whitening strips
we got them in America and what a difference they made
then just keep on top of them
you can get them on ebay! we used the two hour ones. |

got to say personally for me teeth are the first thing will out me off any man no matter how gorjus fit and othewise he may be ive got a total obsession with teeth its really a big big thing for me, ive spent a fortune on making sure my teeth stays white for me it was because my dentist caused alot of damage to my teeth and i was at a point where i was very self conscious and in combatting my issues my teeth became my obsession i can spot changes in poples teeth colouring straight away but if teeth are straight well maintained and no visible signs of neglect slight yellowing isnt a total turn off yours for your age dont look too shabby tbh you dont look like someone who has hygeine issues, if you cant look after your smile then what else arent you looking after is the general concern if people have popor dental hygeine xx |

I think I may know what's wrong here, - having checked the photo in my camera:
If you over-enlarge the pic, you get a granulation ('pixellation') effect, whereby the digital system fills in the gaps between the 'grains' with false colours (perversely greens and browns!). So an over-enlarged view of the pic suggests I've got green and brown marks on my teeth, but it's only a photographic illusion.
Well, that's what I think's going on.
But I will try and get a better photo up.

I think it might have just been that you weren't her type and the only 'polite' way she could think of saying it was about your teeth, not the nicest thing to say though

I have real issues with teeth and oral hygine cos come on if you dont look after whats on display how do you treat the bits that i cant see....
p.s your teeth look fine to me, i once worked with a really attractive guy who was super nice but his teeth were disgusting and looked like you could scrape the plaque off them!!! Yikes! |

(Just wait: .. some smart alec will say my lips don't look nice !  )

Laser whitened at glasgow clinic. Hurts like a bitch for 1 day if you unlucky or really unlucky could be 2 days. I was really unlucky. Worth the improvement though. |

Tom that was not very nice of her,a bit like a guy on here messaging a female and commenting on her weight etc,we all have feelings and even a simple comment can make the individual feel terrible.You should have sent her a reply saying "Im 60 ffs,i have probably eaten about 30 cows in my lifetime..but i will pass on eating another one,goodbye" and left it at that  |

As the profile pic I had at the start of this discussion has now been replaced (with a less 'toothy' one), I think further comments are likely to be less relevant.
