"I work alone and the company's based in Glasgow I very much doubt I'll be invited over to theirs "
That sucks. I’m a lone worker and the company’s based in Glasgow so I take myself down regardless. Chum along to mine instead |

Mine was tonight, ended in the usual fashion, some over did it and were poured into taxi's, others recognised it was time to go.
Then there was tradional argument out of nowhere and the group splintering and going there seperate ways.
Cest la vie. |

I tend not to go to mine anymore. They used to be great fun, usually one of the big hotel party nights. However, a new guy on the social committee, who's a bit of a wanna be snob, and we're now hiring smaller venues for sole use and that are a bit pretentious. He can't understand why the numbers are dwindling, and won't listen when told why, he thinks he knows best. |

"I’m heading down to Glasgow towards the end of the week.
I’m ridiculous when I get out of the wilds of the Highlands - I’m like Babe:Pig In The City - ooh bright lights, big shops, more than one supermarket!
You'll love it! Buchanan Street is beautiful all lit up at night and you have to go and see the markets at George Square and the St Enoch Centre x"
I love a Christmas Market! I’m really looking forward to it actually |

I won't be at mine. I don't tend to like arranged meal type thing, and when they announced everyone was getting "Suited and Booted" I knew it wasn't an event for me.
Besides I'd booked in for CJ's before I knew what date my work's thing was.

Sat the 15th heading out for a family xmas lunch then meeting workmates at 3 for some drinks before heading to Murrayfield for the glitter ball with a VIP table.
Think I might be on a bus home straight after the meal ?????????????????????? |

I’m not working at minute because of health issues but I was lucky enough to be invited to a fab Christmas party night last night and thoroughly enjoyed it |

"I can't work due to major health problems, but been invited to 2 staff parties at the hospital again this year
Hope that's not as an in patient.
Hopefully not this year... "
Hopefully not.. But I wouldn't worry Santa will still visit if you are.. (the real one not the fakes) |

We're too spread out and few in number to make it worth the expense.
With no public transport and no taxis everyone would have to drive so we decided on a lunch.
I'm working elsewhere on the chosen date so won't even make that.
