Definitely not.

Socials on here you wanna chat with the person to see if you connect. Don't see the point in a cinema social.

there was a bigger cinema social last month, think about 10 turned up but they had drinks beforehand so they could all chat

I would say that's ok for a group of Fabbers who already know each other but as a first meet would it not be nicer to go for a drink and chat with each other? Then if you get on well, you could take her to the cinema after x

Definitely go !!

Couple of drinks before cinema.

Try for a peck in the dark once in cinema, if reciprocated or escalated to full on snog, more drinks after cinema.

If not , assume theres no attraction and move on. Just accept not everyone fancies some people. At least theres no awkwardness at a standard coffee meet. I would happily escort a female to a cinema . Even better if both want to see the film anyway.

I was desperate to see a film and had no one to go with, I asked a Fab guy I’d never met to go with me. We went for food first to chat. Ended up at mine after. It all went well!

I dont think its a bad idea. I go alone to the cinema but hate it. Be nice to meet someone for a few drinks and laughs before going to see a film together.

You can't beat the price of going on your own. Esp. If you use nectar points at the Vue.

If we went on two for Tuesday we could go halfers, wouldn't even mind sitting in different parts of the cinema. Even more sweets. Lol.

Me too. Nothing compares to eating a family size bag of Minstrels on your own without having to share them with a little focker.

I like the "surprise" from a bag of revels. A bit like this place. You never know what you're gonna get.

Omg That was for a bigger cinema social and there was drinks beforehand.

The OP is stating that he was asked to the cinema for a social, nothing about drinks first etc... that's why I said NO.

Shakes had and thinks I'll go back to reading readers wifes from men's club magazine

Cinemas do work for socials but you need a drink or a meal too usually to be able to chat.

Interesting thoughts & advice on this, thanks.

I made it clear in a nice, sensitive way I viewed her cinema meet offer as a little more than a social. No meal or drinks involved so for me I thought best to be honest from the outset of my intentions etc. However she understood & appreciated my honesty so Costa it is lol.

I go to the cinema quite a lot with my regular friend on here but we had already been chatting a while and got to know each other before we first went to the cinema together. That was back in August and we're still seeing each other for the cinema and of course fun but it builds up a nice friendship when you see each other socially so don't completely rule it out OP. Meet her for coffee and if you both get on well, take it from there x

The only surprise you get these days from a bag of revels is the lack of contents. Family size bag and a family of 4 get two and a half revels each. If there lucky.
