I have spoken with someone on here who is having financial problems leaving them with no food, electric or heating. It has become more and more common this is happening to a lot of people. There is a go fund page for food banks in Glasgow that has been set up, this is an additional to normal funding as its to help families have Christmas dinner. I hope people donate to less fortunate people.

I know someone who got loads of free food and toys from 2 different banks one year and sold the lot to feed her gambling addiction. My heart goes out to the people who need help but so many abuse the system.

I’m sure for as many genuine people there are the ones that take advantage. My heart goes out to them when children are involved x

Some of these funding pages take a commission which I’m against.

It’s not made clear that they take 5%.

This is a big part of the problem, isn't it?

My daughter works for a similar charity and hears this all the time, but sometimes the only thing some refugees know is how to fight for food. Very sad.

That's true. But I'm always rather wary of giving money to random online fundraisers without details. So it's not for me but I can understand if other people want to donate.
