Don't pay it and won't pay it! I don't have cable tv, it's mainly Netflix and Amazon prime if I watch anything. Letters go straight in the bin and I'm still waiting on that so called licence officer to come to my door like they keep threatening me with. |

Crossed my mind, but that would probably take dozens of emails and letters because they'd prefer to charge everyone an extra £16. Figured it's not worth the hassle x |

People seem to think that the non-BBC channels are free, without realising the amount of money that goes into TV advertising which is added into the price of just about every single product you purchase.
It would be interesting to see up to date estimates on what the average household contributes in advertising charges to keep the other terrestrial channels afloat, compared to what the TV license costs.
I personally wouldn't like the BBC to change as it produces some great dramas, documentaries, radio, to name but a few. And there's the added bonus of very few reality TV shows, and no annoying adverts. |

Don’t agree with it. Never have.
Pay all my subscriptions to services I actually want to watch.
Wish there was a way to opt out of even seeing them to be honest but you aren’t given that choice, just forced to pay for a service I don’t use. |

If memory serves it’s becoming a civil offence anyway. But the amount it costs to chase it often outweighs the benefit. They rely on scaring people into paying |

You are not paying a licence to watch TV, you are paying a licence to own ANY equipment capable of receiving a TV signal. The fact that the fee funds the BBC is irrelevant, and even if you don't watch terrestrial TV channels, you have to have a licence. |

But only if it has a tuner - if you use a monitor then you don’t require one. An engineer friend of mine removed the tuner from his TVs and challenged them to prove he was capable of receiving and deciding the signals. They lost and he won |

No, you don't. Mere ownership of any sort of equipment does not automatically need a TV licence. It is the actual act of receiving TV programmes (or BBC iPlayer on-demand programmes) that requires a TV licence.  |

It is literally Bbc programming and streaming apps your paying for if you have a TV and don't watch or use any Bbc products your not obliged to pay for a license not that i would anyway Ofcom are a joke and as said earlier in the thread your basically supporting false media used to promote ignorance and political bias to divide the population. I dont want to start up more nonsense but yesterdays sexual harrassment discussion was clearly popularised by Bbc radio 5? In no way did anyone stop.and take a second to think the Bbc are well known for being full of it.
