We normally have all the family round for Christmas dinner (anywhere from 14 -20!)

BUT this year because of Family Wedding will just be 3 of us. So spoiling ourselves with Quails on a watercress salad for starters, followed by Goose and Pheasant with roasted veg and potatoes, and mango and passion fruit sorbet to finish.

.......ALL from LIDL!!!! Had a trial run a few weeks ago and the quality is superb!!

Merry Christmas everyone...whatever your having! xx

Having goose and turkey with all the trimmings for main, chicken an tarragon soup to start I believe but think my desert will steal the show.. Home made (from scratch) mulled fruit compote filled meringue roulade served with spicy poached pear crisps and a mulled syrup to decorate!

*mulled fruit - strawberry, cherry, blueberry, pomegranate and orange gently heated and soaked for 3 days in a combo of port , cinnamon, cardamon and a splash of brandy

Fillet steaks rolled up with stuffing inside - like massive beef olives. Roast parsnips, red cabbage and roast potatoes. Will probably feed me for a week.

Homemade pate and oatcakes

Homemade lentil soup (the choice of soup caused a family arguement, starter maker wanted to make red pepper and butternut squash soup!!!! Its against the law to make any other soup but lentil for Christmas day)

Turkey crown and Ham with the trimmings.

Whatever desert I manage to get in Asda today.

Cheeseboard.
