Has anyone been yet?

I was thinking of going this weekend but then read about the expected queues so may leave it for another time.

Great boost for the city though. Hopefully it attracts the number of visitors they expect it to.

Edinburgh

Am going to wait until the Novelty effect dies down.

Great for the town indeed

Agreed. Myself and miss kink are waiting until the queues die down before we head up..

Possibly January / February time when we will head...

Angus

I was down that way last weekend and the waiting line was out the door and along street.

As others have said, best to wait until the novelty affect has worn off.

Dundee

I couldn't care less about the V&A, it's an eyesore, but I hope that means other things will finally start opening up. I'd like to see a bowling alley here again, crazy golf, family entertainment in general.

A couple more geek shops and clothes shops would be nice

I will wait until it’s less busy. Maybe I will go in my holibobs. Just not sure the exhibits are that interesting to me. I did go up the old steeple and St. Paul’s a few weeks ago I loved that

I will be going at some point its a beautiful structure. I do think it will be popular and bring tourists to dundee. All these hotels cant be wrong. Anyone coming to scotland for various trips will spend a day at least in dundee to see this building.

I am not keen on the building if I am honest. But if it brings folk to Dundee I say good. Although thinking back to coming out of the swimming and going over the tunnel thing to the roll shop or to go to mcds it might have been ugly but it brings back some fun memories

Ardgay

I prefer the older, more historic buildings around the water front area.

If it was just the V&A it would be something but now there are numerous other new builds going up which are going to impact on all the open area that has been created.

Dundee

Was there yesterday, bit over hyped for what's actually in the building in my opinion. It seems more of a food court than anything else. Looks very smart but also looks like a massive waste of cash.

I have been and enjoyed my visit. I think the design is very tasteful and my only gripe was that there were not enough exhibits and history of Dundee inside. The food wasn't too pricey as far as museums prices go.

I do agree we need a new bowling alley and more eclectic range of shops in the town centre but we are making progress ..

Are there traffic lights at the go kart place or do you have to imagine them?

wherever i need to be

its not a "Dundee" museum, its a museum that celebrate Scottish Design. Stunning building and stunning inside. The buzz in Dundee just now is amazing and its the busiest I've ever seen it. Was lucky enough to get tickets to the 3d festival and primal scream were amazing

There maybe a buzz over the V&A in dundee but id rather have industry & meaningful jobs.tens of thousands of people work for less now than 15 years ago. Not a buzz to me but a major concern

Edinburgh-ish

It's fairly disappointing on the inside. Quite small! However, the building is beautifully designed

I concur....

Building is fantastic...from any angle...didn’t fancy the exhibition on Liners so just popped into the free one...nice - but quite limited. Hoping to see some exciting exhibitions in future - really loved Dundee tho...first visit!! Great wee city!!

Beware if you live in Dundee

You will be hunted down by the thought police for expressing dissident views on the white elephant .... oops I mean glorious architectural wonder that will end all of Dundee's ills

Oh and 80 million ????

Aye right

Just wait until the final bill is announced

Well was quieter when I first visited in the morning but by the time I got out the Ocean Liner Exhibition it was mobbed! Didn't have time to cue up today for the free one (massive cues) so no idea what that parts like. But enjoyed my visit and will be back sometime
