So on the back of another thread, any TV you’ve seen that people might like?
I’ve been watching Castle Rock. It’s based on Stephen Kings writings and is really good. It’s not the quickest but well worth a watch as it throws up more questions than answers every episode. |

"The Alienists, loved it, great actors, costumes d’époque too and a little Sherlock like.
And buzzing that they are doing a season 2 "
Really? I'd been avoiding this, but I'll give it a go. X |

And an interesting window on police work in an era when all the fancy forensics was inexistant or just being born |

"Salvage hunters....I love all that rummaging for antiques and valuables. He's a robbin bastard though "
My girlfriend likes that. Sometimes I watch it though and can't believe that things people admit they've not looked at or remember being there, they'll suddenly ask a huge price for it. Simply because someone has shown an interest in their old piece of tat.
My recommendations would be;
Misfits - Imagine Neds with Superpowers. It's finished now and easy to get on the 4oD BoxSets.
The Strain - Vampire show with a difference. Vampires are shown as being a parasite, rather than the romanticised Hollywood versions. Also finished, so it's not something you're going to have to commit to seasons and seasons of.

I enjoyed misfits. Although, the original cast were the best |

Tour of duty a series set in the Vietnam War. Sound track was superb, from the opening credits, painted black by the stones all the way through each episode. I found the box set on amazon. Brilliant Christmas present for myself. |

"'Rick and Morty' is out there, but 'always sunny in Philadelphia' has me chuckling all through it. "
Also along the same vein Big Mouth is funny.
Orville was pretty good as well... |

I couldn’t decide if The Orville was an attempt at a genuine programmer or a tongue in cheek take on Star Trek |

Still haven’t watched the good doctor yet. Star Trek discovery was good but we won’t get it again until next year. |

Both I think really took us back to the Star Trek generation days though. Apparently fox have given them a huge budget for the second season as well. |

The second season of Discovery is looking great from the trailers. And we're getting the return of Patrick Stewart as Picard in a new series set 20 years after the last TNG movie as well. Good times. |

I’d recommend Gomorrah. Really tense and dark Italian crime drama.
The fact you need subtitles (unless you understand Italian) maybe will put people off but give it a chance, you get so into it that it doesn’t make a difference. |

This was brilliant! And the bold Gino is rather easy on the eye
