I put a status up about a month ago saying something along the lines of "Some people need to learn to smile" and it got me a few nasty messages. In the same status I said it wasn't directed at anyone on here and that I was bad at it too.
However I'm a picture Mod on a dating site, and it's amazing how few pics are submitted that actually have someone smiling in them. Those get approved the quickest.
I guess folk seem to think the sombre and brooding pics are the kind most folk want to see.
Mind you non-smiling one are better than the Pouting/Slurping Spaghetti pics.

The forums crack me up , i smile in some pics and dont in most of mine, im on the spectrum though so facial expressions can be a challenge to me , im a happy guy really haha |

Once sent a photo during a discussion about possibly meeting, and the response was “cmon smile” I went back with “I was bloody smiling” the person at the other end got all worried apologising profusely , did not have the heart to tell her I was joking , she did see me smile though in real life and gave me a dig in the ribs when the discussion on the photo came up !! Serves me right I guess !
I hate getting my photo taken, and as such I never feel natural , I have met people who simply connect to the camera , but I honestly don’t !! Each to their own I say ! |

Yeah a forced smile never looks good. Better to crop a photo which has you smiling naturally. |

I have never mastered the art of smiling and taking a selfie at the same time!!!
Its really hard to position the camera and then make sure you hit the take button, whilst getting the best profile!
lol I think its called multitasking and there in lies the issue!!!
Maybe I need some help to take better pictures!!! |

I hate having my photo taken because I'm not very photogenic. I also don't think I have a nice smile so I'm really self conscious about it.
That said though, any half decent pics I do get are all me and not s filter in sight.

From personal experience no lad can take a decent selfie, everyone I have met has always looked so much better than the shit pics they put up. I’ve actually told some what are the best pics to put up cause they have no idea lol x |
