Statistically the met office get it wrong 1 in 4 times, as Billy Connolly said look out the window for the real deal |

All glasgow schools closed today.
Its pssing rain already and trees almost bent tae. Feck knows what this afternoon will bring.
Met office on BBC Radio Scotland saying ths RED ALERT is because they have a high confidence that they have got it right this time and because of impact area - high population and rush hour.
Will be great fun in a double decker bus today - can wait for the Maillieston junction as we go over that very high bit from M8 eastbound onto M73 southbound. Might be brown knickers time. |

All renfrewshire & Glasgow Schools are off. Strathclyde Uni, all classes have been cancelled. Reid Kerr college is closing at 1pm.
There was mention of Glasgow busses going off at noon, but I cant verify that. |

Im just back home from Glasgow.
Harthill services was just shutting as I was there, the corrugated sheets from under the canopy were been ripped off. Literally as I was there, one came off as I was inside, and 1 as I got to my car!
Forth Road Bridge shut to everything and Clackmananshire Bridge (the new one) is closed to high siders. Kincardine Bridge is very busy as a result on all approaches.
If your heading that way use the back roads from Saline area as most people go the Dunfermline to Kincardine road.
It is quite challenging even driving a car, pity the HGV drivers in this.
Stay Safe!
