I love a good horror film, but have to watch them during the day as I cannot watch them alone at night....I get too scared!

Hereditary is good, and very scary.
Ghost Stories is also good, despite the lead actor looking like a mate of mine. Even Martin "the dullest actor in Britain" Freeman is good in it. |

In saying that one of the all time scary films, at its time, was 'Alien'. I was shit, fucking feart.
I remember I ended up behind the setea and when I looked left, my mother was beside me and to my right my father cowering beside me.
Ffs only the pot dog sat and watched the whole film. The fucker passed away not long after. I blame the film.

I don't think I've seen a film that's really scary
There's a bit in the strangers tho that the woman is sitting watching the tv and you just see the guy in the background standing watching her in the dark and he starts slowly walking towards her. Just kinda appeared. My heart started beating faster at that bit x |

IT isn't so much about the scares, it's about the people it's happening to: kids. It is against our nature to see children harmed, so when Georgie meets Pennywise, that creates the tension. We know something will happen, but what? |

I loved The Conjuring 2 as well. It’s a great movie and supposed to be based on true events.
Hush is also good for suspense.
And it’s a bit old but The Descent is another good one. Scary and the feeling of being trapped underground just adds to it. |
