To go off at a slight tangent, the RAF 100tour will be at the Science Centre in Glasgow this weekend, with a static display of aircraft, from a WW1 Sopwith Scout through a Spitfire Mk V, to a mock up F35 Lightning II. Ideal for plane lovers who don't want to stand on a beach in the rain! |

I live in Ayr but I don't know if I will be going. I can see some of the aircraft as they fly around and I can definitely hear them.
Last year I saw the Red Arrows fly past heading to the shore as I looked up from my flatpacked Ikea wardrobe I was building.
Hopefully it will be a good one and the weather will be fine for it. |

"Better check the trains if you're heading that way as there is a dangerous building next to the station and services are disrupted. "
Yip. Only 3 carriages instead of usual 6 carriages. Will cause travel chaos I’m sure. I’ll be driving. |

You're also down to a single lane between just south of Kilmarnock and Monkton. Think it should be cleared for Saturday.
I am take a wee wander down this weekend. Saw them practicing today at the airport. Big crowd there just for that. |
