Death row dinner

Cheery topic for a Sunday, but I'm cooking and it got me thinking about my favourite thing... Food!

Just developed a recipe for a sausage and herb casserole, with my own home grown herbs... Its really delicious, even if I do say so myself

Go on, what's your last meal, or your very favourite?

Near the harbour

My home made chicken curry made with grim reaper chillies. It has the taste with heat just combined perfectly. ..

Orsuper noodles with an egg on top I indulge in both depending on time restrictions

I asked what size your chip pan is because that's a helluva lot of money to spend on oil...id be surprised if anybody else spends a tenner to make some chips.

And yeah...I wouldn't believe them either

Believe it or not even after years as a chef, all through my childhood and even to this day, a nice salad is my favourite meal not the wee crappy ones you would buty from a supermarket, I’m talking proper mixed salad, with a huge selection of antipasto, cold meats, cheese, pickles, with balsamic dressing!

I make the meanest salads fit for a king, or queen

Can’t beat it!

Food is important to me, but I'd be happy with a soda scone and toasted cheese.

I'd have to agree. For me the simplest things are the best. Vine tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella, Parma ham, basil and some balsamic dressing and crusty bread.

Then a bit of cheesecake from Artisan cheesecakes in Edinburgh. Job done....goodbye cruel world.

I like to mix things up a bit if I am honest... at this very moment (mostly because I’m planning tomorrow’s dinner) I would opt for a traditional Indian curry (can’t give it a name as it’s the use of a curry base that I add all sorts of spices to) with spiced rice, popadoms and homemade spiced onions... pretty fly for a white guy

But if I was to choose a dinner for the rest of time.. Christmas dinner with ALL the trimmings wins hands down

Eureka

Rare Wagyu steak with chimichurri sauce, with fresh Scottish langoustines seared in coriander, ginger garlic & chilli with lemon juice with twice cooked homemade chips & salad. I cook this often but use cheaper steak
