I want people to name their favourite song the one that gets in through rough times and good times the one that they can turn to and sing like nobody is listening and bring a tear to their eye
Sorry didn’t really know where to put this on so I’ve put it in the Scotland chart
Looking forward to hearing your responses |

Dire Straits - Why Worry
Pink Floyd - Shine On You Crazy Diamond
Sting - Fields of Gold
Eva Cassidy - Songbird
Phil Collins - Wish It Would Rain
Metallica - Nothing Else Matters
Tracy Chapman - Fast Car
Guns N Roses - Patience
Julio Iglesias & Stevie Wonder - My Love
Enigma - Return To Innocence
Orbital - Illuminate
Proclaimers - Sunshine On Leith
Jessie Ware - Wildest Moments
James Morrison - Broken Strings
Too many to mention but a few to mind for different reasons, that’s the beautiful thing about music it can make you reminisce good times and bad, could live without tv and movies but music is everything!!

Bright Eyes - played at my twin sisters funeral when they carried her in and out the church... also West Life seasons in the sun, also played at my sisters funeral (her fav band at the time) a verse is goodbye Michelle, which is her name, so had everyone in the church in floods.. I then had to follow that song to say a few words about her... was only 23 at the time so very difficult. Still gets my chocked up if hear both songs. |

"Extreme. More than words. A mix of emotions and memories attached to it"
Good choice. Had the pleasure of seeing and meeting them when that song first came out. Still love it and all the teenage memories attached. |

Can't narrow it down to just one, but:
These Times by SafetySuit - listen to it a lot during difficult times and it really gets me, the video is amazing too
Heal Over by KT Tunstall - listened to it extensively when my marriage broke up. Saw her live a few months ago and when she played this I was in bits
When The Fog Rolls In by Train - could have been written about a breakup I went through
Missing by City and Colour - the lyrics were read as a poem at a friend's funeral and a bit of it is engraved on his headstone |

As we are allowed more than one after my first post,
Sweet Child O' Mine GnR
Paint it Black Rolling Stones
People are Strange The Doors
Carry on Wayward Son Kansas
(Though don't judge my age by my choices - most predate my birth let alone music listening ) |

Christina Perri - A Thousand Years
Life goes on no matter how our life twists. Take a tear and keep it forever, you never know when you will look back and realise it was meant for you. Listen to your heart and take that step into the unknown, that step might be everything you could wish for, only you will know |

"Nothing Else Matters by Metallica
Over 20 years old and still gets me everytime. Saw it live at the Glasgow concert last year"
Amazing track, love when they do the live version with a full orchestra, my favourite female singer does a cracking cover of it too, an American singer called Lissie I’d youve not heard it you really should!
Great choice Ginger Princess x |

1)R.E.M. Everybody Hurts
Once I understood what the song was about, and its message, I found it incredibly emotional
2) Led Zep Rock and Roll
My go-to adrenaline rush
