They seem to be the in thing with the young ones.. my son has appeared with a few! I think having them where they can be seen is a bit tacky to be honest. As I told him, they need to bite lower down!
However I've recently discovered how much I enjoy my shoulders being bitten, the sting that lingers after but no mark.

"Ok I’m sure we’ve all had a hickey when we were younger but what’s your thoughts on them now?
And what was your best way of getting rid of them?
"
Wonder what brought this to mind. |

I agree. A bite in the right place is amazing.

"Did anyone else use toothpaste as a way to get rid of them quicker?
I don’t know if it really worked or not but I was always told it helped "
Are you asking for a friend?
The only thing I knew which worked was a polo neck sweater or scarf. |

I look like I have one on my shoulder, but I actually banged it on a worktop. I'm glad the good weather has gone, so I don't get asked about it again. |

I think they look awful. That said I like the feeling and it’s finding that place (unfortunately it’s my neck that does it for me, shoulders a close second) that they cannot be seen but I do like a bite now and again but at my age walking about with lovebites would be a definite no no!
