I just don’t get this at all
If you want a break hide your profile
Why lose verifications and need to start all over
chatting to the same people you have perhaps already made a connection with or decided against
To me the people who start all over have something to hide

I’ve ‘been here before’ and ‘know how the site works’ as the sayings go.
And if I want a break I will just delete my profile and lose my verifications.
Why?
Because I can and it’s my choice.  |

‘I have been here before’ it’s on my profile blurb... why? Because I was here then left for 3 years or so and then decided I missed the social/voyueristic side of the community and so now I’m back on a different profile and being a bit more discreet... some people I wanted to get back in touch with.:. Some I didn’t...  |

When Ive deleted it’s not because I had anything to hide, at that point I had genuinely had enough of Fab and didn’t think I would be returning.
Even then upon returning I’ve not processed to know how the site works, because I don’t - how it operates largely depends on who you’re speaking to, and I haven’t a clue what goes on in some folks minds lol  |

Since joining last summer, I have often felt like closing my account completely as the site can become a bit tedious and not the best use of my spare time. However, verifications and some kind of history mean everything to a guys ongoing success, so this means that I often just hide it, which ultimately means that I get too easily sucked back in. 
If I was female, I am sure I would close mine completely from time to time and have a clean break.
I also think guys having no luck close theirs down and restart, as a guys profile open for a year with none or little action against it does not look good. x |

I've been on and off this site for years! It's easy enough to hide your profile, but the temptation is always there. My thoguths personally! If I didn't have a profile at all, I didn't think about it, when I was ready to come back on, I would make a new profile! If I just hid it, I would know it's there and wouldn't really get a break from this place! Some people are different some go into relationships. Why would you want to keep a profile you had when you were single? Maybe it's just my thinking, I don't know. |

That's what happened to me on my old profile, also had a wee annoying stalker. Was best to make a clean break then come back fresh about a year later. |

This is what I did I had nothing to hide just decided I’d had enough so deleted but 4 or 5 months later decided I’d come back had nothing to hide just a lot going on personally and didn’t have time or inclination. To be meeting anyone |

I’ve been on and off loads over the years. Sometimes hid the profile sometimes just wanted a complete detatchment from it all (I’ve done the same with the likes of Facebook and Twitter).
Then you get the urge again...
Nothing to hide, purely circumstance and I’m too worn in the tooth to worry about losing verifications. Doesn’t bother me at all. Those who know me, know me.
Only time it did bother me was for a social that wouldn’t take anyone who wasn’t verified - which was fair enough. |

Can't say i have ever left and came back and don't intend too if I leave that will be it I reckon..some especially fems have their reasons some genuine some not I suppose ..I don't really give it a thought  |

I’m probably the worst for this, on and off so many times over the years. Sometimes I just get bored and come off, then get bored cause I’m not still on here. Sometimes I’ve had enough of the abuse and give myself a break from it all. I find it hard to just hide my profile as I know it’s still there and I’m shit at staying away from temptation. Everyone’s different |

Seems it's mostly the ladies who come and go, mainly due to the hassle from numbnuts, or they're bored with the site. Guys, on the other hand, know how hard those veris are to get, so mostly try to tough it out. |

I see myself nowadays as a big ball of tumble, blowing across Fabs desert from time to time when the mood takes me....

I think the main reasons for closing an account are:
*Pissed off at fab and don’t think they’ll be back
*enters into a relationship (either deleted singles profile and makes a couples or in a monogamous relationship).
It does make me chuckle when someone says “knows how the site works” but they don’t read my profile and send me a dick pic with their message... I wonder “are you suuuuuuuure you know, mate?”

I remember how difficult it was to get that first meet and get verified. I don’t think I could delete and do that again
