Would there be much interest for one? |

Great start!
Jedzy I'd be trying to fill big shoes, I heard great things from your socials!
Would people prefer a ticketed private event or a free event in a reserved area of a local bar? |

Depends what kinda scale you’re thinking. I reckon most would be happy with the pub scenario, suppose it depends on your numbers

I can't comment on other socials organised but for previous one I organised that requested people be verified (thats verified by anyone, not just someone associated with the social) there was many opportunities to get verified prior to the event.
Myself, my co-organiser and several other lovely local people gave up a lot of their spare time to meet unverified members for their tickets and to verify them. |

Think this may need to be a ticketed event as there are very few places available that have free reserved/private areas in the city centre
How would people feel about buying tickets that include entry, buffet and a wee goody bag maybe? |

The venue would be private and we'd have our own DJ till 2am |

Yeah I would be happy with that.
I’d be keen to accompany someone, so I at least have an opportunity to have one familiar face and share pre drinks.
Anyone interested give me a shout. May ease your nerves too. |

I would be interested as well it was great fun at the last one
I was a very shy guy so I guess the best place to go would be the bar and just say hello to everyone
Even though I don’t drink due to health reasons |

Private room or bar.
Maybe nibbles.
Leaving out party games, it’s a big turn off for a lot of people. Party bags are unnecessary. A raffle would be ok.
Would be nice to see people coming from further afield. Definite limit on single males.
Just our thoughts. |

I will note interest
Good to see that people still want to attend socials. Sadly the one I organised in April flopped and had to be changed to a wee corner in a pub lol |

I heard the smaller social was still a success, people enjoyed themselves. Don't think some people appreciate how difficult and time consuming organising socials can be!xxxx |

On the flip side I enjoyed the party games. They got people mingling well. Raffle is a great idea and as for limiting single males..... again why do we continually target them ??? |

I have never limited single males at a social I have organised, and don't plan to with this one. From experience they are usually the minority at socials anyway.
I don't think I could do a social without a raffle, just wouldn't be the same.
Im open to all suggestions |
