There’s a Premier Inn in St Andrews.
I’ve stayed at The Old Course and The Fairmont too. I don’t recall needing keys for the lift and both have nice bars for a wee drink before you head to the room.
There are a few apartments around St Andrews too, plus a load of other hotels but don’t know about accessibility.
Oh and just for info, the bath in the rooms in the Old Course are huge....... can easily fit too in there (ahem, so a friend told me ) |

No keys required for lift at Old Course. Gorgeous rooms aswell but very expensive for one night.
