Fab Sports Day & Picnic - 21 July 2018

Just for fun 11 and I have come up with a plan for an informal fun social (weather permitting)! The idea did start after a glass of wine to be fair!
2-5pm on Saturday, 21 July 2018 - location will be given out just before the big day.
Bring your own picnic and blankets or deck chairs. Be discrete if bringing alcohol as it’s in a public area.
We plan to have a few games such as egg & spoon, 3 legged race, wheel barrow race and a tug of war. Open to suggestions for other races that we can do in a public area.
No deposits as we want this to be fairly hassle free and numbers are flexible. There’s no limits on the number of couples or singles.
There will be prizes for the craziest shirt, the shortest shorts but definitely no prizes for mankinis!

Sounds like a fun day but be careful with location if drinking alcohol in an area where public drinking is prohibited.
It only takes one killjoy to make a phone call to the authorities for tickets to be handed out. |

So far we’ve been offered a gazebo, tug of war rope and I’m getting medals done for the day. I’ll prepare certificates for various categories. To include:
Shortest shorts
Craziest shirt
Any other suggestions? |

Only 6 more sleeps to go!
It’s a ‘bring your own food and drink’ social event in a public park and your own blanket or chair.
We will organise some races for all those who wish to participate. It’s only for fun and let people mix where we can actually see and hear each other for a change.
There may even be a game of rounders if we get enough people! Remember sun cream if it’s sunny.
We may have some prizes for the loudest shirt, shortest Daisy Dukes and any other category we can think of.
Any questions ask either me or Just for fun 11

Thanks to everyone who came along today. It was a good laugh and we did do our races. There was a good mix of people as well.
J did wear her Daisy Dukes as well!
Maybe do it again next year.

We had a great day out.
The 3-legged race was hilarious.
And I’m not even gonna mention the erm blue tac!!
Safe to say someone forgot to put sun cream on and ended up burnt. Eeeek!

A public (!!!) thanks for organising the sports day. A lot of effort went in to making a lot of people giggle.

Well today was a real hoot. Thanks to you both for organising it....time flew in very quickly...the races were hilarious even though i had to go to casualty ..... torn my calf muscle ... great mix of people and thanks for carrying my chairs back to my car .... much appreciated ... M x |

Yeah it wasnt that hot fairly overcast actually and we even had a couple of spots of rain but I’m a sensitive wee soul and pale skinned.    |
