Over the last few weeks we have read so many posts which have turned into debates about football and religion. We might be wrong but we think this isn't the forum you are looking for?

This is a swinging site ffs, chill out and enjoy yourselves.

If you want to get a hard on talking about 'Sevco' or 'big jock knew' then maybe keep it for for football forums?

Radio Clyde every night at 6pm or the Daily Record hotline would be a good start.

Well said, football and religion always ends badly, whereas swinging in my experience generally ends well

Fair comment but I suppose the counter argument is it's an open forum so people can say what they like (to an extent) and that's exactly how it should be.

People tend to show their true colours on these threads though, and I don't mean green or blue, so it still helps you filter out the good guys from the wanks.

It may be an open forum but there's a time and a place for everything. Surely a swingers site is not the place to be discussing these sort of topics? Life is far too short as it is. It's meant to be fun on here after all. Something has well and truly gone wrong along the way on here x

Forums are an open place, absolutley but fab isn't the place for football, religion or politics surely? We should be talking about fun things and leaving all that shite behind. Just our opinion

We have filtered out many wanks over the last few weeks, the good guys are fine

There is enough censorship in the world.

one of the favoured quotes on the forums you dont like it scroll on by.

I find most of the "fun" forum threads tedious and childish.

fun is a diffrent thing to diffrent folk I enjoy seeing varied topics and points of view and dare I say it challenging diffrent opinions.

im quite sure I wont be the only one I agree there is no point in the animosity that can be prevalent.

It is an interesting one. I agree with lots of things people have said so far - I would prefer people start threads about whatever they want, and message freely about whatever they want. If it makes them look obnoxious, then they are typing it out to be judged on or responded to.

As many others have said and will continue to say, if the thread title doesn't interest you then don't open it. For me, this could be football, or it could be the face pic Friday threads.

I also agree with what people have said about the responses in threads being used as a gauge to how well you'd get on with someone. That's probably a good reason to click into threads you don't like. To see who to avoid!

I will admit, there is something a bit bizarre about checking the politics forum threads and seeing serious rants with thumbnails of tits, cocks and arse attached. Bizarre, but not wrong!

Never ever try to censor folks .We have a pair of eyes and thumbs and fingers attached to a phone or computer when the threads pop up we can if we wish censor ourselves by not reading .that's freedom of choice. If you want to ban politics .football .royalty then you must also ban everything else .but that's just my opinion of course .I neither agree or disagree with ops post but I do advocate their right to post whatever they want without censorship (insert big tits smiley)

Easy peasy

Yes most football threads turn into a free for all but that's 99% banter that non football peeps dont understand .the 1% just bleat nonsense that gets laughed at .

Id rather laugh at those threads than who's all going to cjs/after8 post for the 10th time a day.

Wouldn't matter a toss to me what team anyone I met supported. Some people clearly don't grasp the concept of winding others up and being able to have a laugh at it, i.e. Lack the social skills, intelligence and the humour to realise that. A lot of the forum chat is like that. For me it s out the boring (to talk to and presumably in bed) people, the intellectually impaired and the emotionally retarded people. And there are plenty of those on here, including those wishing to take a perceived "look at me, I'm above everyone on this thread" stance of blocking others. I'd never rule out meeting someone for posting a contentious comment on a forum if it made me laugh and and I thought it was written with that intent, unless of course they were ugly! Lol

In short, if you've nothing funny or intelligent to say and you hate the threads so much don't read them or at least refrain from coming on and posting "I use these threads to block people". Very good, block away, keep it to yourself and stop being a twat or else contribute something to make me laugh!

Unfortunately in the world we live in , there's always someone wanting to turn any sort of topic into an argument, life is hard enough without spouting shite out and causing stress and anger.

Free speech is just an excuse for the arseholes of this world to hear their own voice and be ..... yea you guessed it ARSEHOLES

My dear old mum always said if you've nothing nice to say, then say nothing , some truth in that I think, but of course this is just my opinion

Not saying there should be no football posts nor should they be censored, there is always some good patter/banter on the posts but the fact is you always know who is going to turn it from banter by spouting the usual shit every time. Football posts Celtic/Rangers you know the half dozen who will leave shit comments and exactly what they will say

Pretty sure I'm not as I haven't commented on here and I just checked his profile and I don't have him blocked. I've probably never even looked at it till now. It's pretty amazing that you've managed to work out I supposedly lack social skills, humour and intelligence for a one line post. That's a helluva skill set to have.

He's basically posted a rant that seems to be an attempt to get back at people who, I'm assuming, have blocked him. The idea that everyone who blocks a person for making obnoxious, angry, offensive etc posts is somehow in the wrong and have various character defects is pretty ridiculous.

Forum posts sometimes give a better idea of people's character than their profiles, which tend to be more polished and aren't written in the heat of the moment, so it's no surprise that judgements will be made based on compatibility for something that is very intimate.

There's a lot posted here that is somehow excused by labelling it 'banter' when it's nothing of the sort.

You will always get these type of posts on the forums. The OP's of these threads know that they will cause arguments and sit back watch the hatred unfold.

Think we should all take a note and in future, dont bite , ignore and let it slip down the forum and out of sight.

I don't know if you're deliberately being stupid or not? It's hard to tell.

His point stands. He understands that some people purely use the forums as a wind up. He understands that to be able to see that, you need to have some social skill, intelligence and humour about you. Then you remarked that he must be angry because you think he's been blocked by some people.

You missed the point by a considerable distance.

But then again, I wouldn't expect you to know that. Which goes back to his original point.

I've no idea if anyone has blocked me or not. Lol tbh, neither would it bother me in the slightest. Like the other guy said you've missed the point completely, and you still don't get it. It wasn't a rant, I took the time to explain my post, I'm not sure how much clearer I could have been and you still missed the point. So you are entitled to make your assumption about me and I'll make mine about you, end of, we're both entitled to. We'll do it quietly and neither of us has to come on here and try to seek attention by claiming we block others who post on certain threads.

Do people really think others care if someone who they have never messaged, never viewed their profile, never spoken to them and don't know the first thing about them block them? Lol it's like a person who you don't actually know exists not wanting to talk to you, big loss!!! Lol

I have to say you started a thread about a thread you dont like ??? . You called it hatred and about the hatred people show each other in a football forum yet your thread is talking about ather Fab member talking Shite. Thats all ive heard in this thread , he talks shite or this or that is shite and block him or her. ? As someone said earlier if you dont like it dont read it or skip past it. Thats not intended as a dig thats simply an adult way of dealing with it. Your thread could be considered the hatred of people that dont like to talk about football and the people who like to talk about football. Ps i posted on the other thread saying i was glad i played rugby so im not interested in football but everyone deserves to talk on a forum how they plz. Including yourself OP. x

Classic armchair fan. So you watch the elite on tv, and think you're arrogant and ignorant enough to call everything else shit.

So by that token everything outside the elite leagues in the world is "shit". No concept of real football and the real football fan, those who don't follow the big teams, those involved in grassroots football. I bet by the same token if we had a fab kick about we'd all be saying you were "really shit" pal.

Look at that. A thread about hatred has turned to hatred. Who'd have thought.

"I find it amusing anyone classing scottish football as anything remotely interesting..

its dull, its shit, and its really fucking crap...no matter how its dressed up.

it's like talking to flatearthers

You clearly don't watch it then.

I watch the odd game lol...long balls, scrappy play....its really shit."

Talk shit. Your opinion is clearly based on a lazy, stereotypical perception that is bandied about by folk who are blinded by the unrealistic expectations of other leagues.

Long balls. Give me some examples of specific long ball Scottish teams? I bet you can't.

Throwing in the words "scrappy play"!! Ha!

You haven't got a fucking clue what you're talking about.

Spot on. Another Man City/Chelsea/Barca watching football 'fan'.

He'll not have been to a Scottish game in his puff. He can't have been.

outside your bedroom window ;-)

Surely the amount of comments on this post say that its a topic of debate in a forum.

This would be pretty flat if we only chatted about sex, you wouldn't just chat about sex in a personal conversation would you.

Banter though not abuse, hatred or insulting creeds colour or thoughts.

My 10p worth.

"Over the last few weeks we have read so many posts which have turned into debates about football and religion.

Exactly banter and not abuse and hatred. The old saying Just my tuppence worth has been hit with severe inflation. Just my 10p worth. That's an 1100% increase.

I have an interest in one half of the old firm . Supported them all my days but I never comment or get dragged into any of the “banter” and actually generally give the threads a miss to be honest ! I guess I am leaning to let people have their threads, I can avoid them , but for me it would be a no no to drag the knuckle dragging pish into other non “football ahem” related threads.

But it's true. Both clubs did have an agreement and both owned the rights of the 'old firm' brand, till one was placed into liquidation. Only one of them own the rights and has stated that the term is irrelevant now.

Not stirring things, only repeating a fact.
