We have a gift of an overnight to use in Troon soon. Just wondering if anyone can recommend some good pubs or restaurants down there

Only kidding! Seriously though, there's a nice Chinese restaurant and a few pubs on the main street. There's also the Marine Hotel which serves some bar meals. Enjoy your stay!

Scott's by the harbour...but it's not cheap

Depends what type of food you like and the venues that are preferable

Scott’s are good eats, the gailes, head towards prestaixk though more variety

Piersland food is out of this world. Lovely hotel and grounds and near the beach for a post meal walk x

Lido in Troon Main Street is great for food and drink.

Pubs wise McIntyres , Harbour Bar are good.

I'd recommend Scott's as well. Also a few pubs on the main street etc but it's been a while since I've been to them.

Agree with above poster... Scott’s is fab and very reasonably priced. Only place I’ve been to eat in Troon
