I am looking to interview 3 class instructors any type of class is fine, spin class, yoga, body pump. I already hAve 3 female instructors lined up and need 3 male’s to make results compatible so any qualified male instructors out there I’d like to hear from you on “what makes a good class instructor” |

I don't do classes but listening to those who do the feeling I get is personality, which can be difficult to measure in an interview in my opinion.
Interviewing is outdated and pointless.
Personally I'd give them all a day / week depending on your urgency to fill the role, maybe at a lower rate of pay and observe them doing the actual job rather than talking about it. |

I hear ya and agree but I still think the interview stage is there for a reason to out the novices and then you would give someone a trial period whether one day or a week etc... and watch how they operate.
As coaching, I was interviewed and also then watched for two weeks coaching, and been given different scenarios to coach, by two of the professional first team coaches and (touch wood, head) they told me I passed with flying colours. |
