Wow - that is a tough one! Due both to past jobs and to my love of sea fishing, I've travelled far around the (particularly coastal) UK, not just Scotland. If pushed, I would generalise and say that you can't get more beautiful than the peninsula of Argyll. There are some shitty parts (won't mention them to avoid causing offence) but towns like Inveraray and Tarbert, as well as the islands of Islay and Jura are just some of the places which have to be experienced to be believed. I would recommend them to anyone who loves beautiful scenery, whisky, quality fresh food, friendly locals and just chilling out in the best possible environments |

Aviemore and regularly visit Glasgow |
The white sandy beaches and turquoise waters of Arisaig and Morar, coupled with the views to the small isles and cuilins of Skye. My favourite place in the entire world. We're very lucky in this wee country of ours.

"Where’s the nicest place in Scotland you’ve visited? Never been up north but heard about lovely things, white beach’s for a start..."
Embo by far is one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited so far |

It's not the best place in Scotland but I've been pleasantly surprised by just how nice a city Dundee is. It's not an Edinburgh but it's miles better than the reputation it has (shithole). I'd imagine it'd be a great place for a night out and since I'm always up here working I can only imagine about a night out |

Favourite Loch is Loch etive and loch broom. Also the Balach na Bah, (Pass of the cattle) 2053 feet above sea level, amazing views on the road to Applecross.
Loves the other side of Loch Ness, not the main A road, lovely settings. Love Kilchurn castle, (2nd most photographed ruined castle in Europe) at Loch Awe.
Just a small sample of some of the places that I have sampled on my job, pure beauty

"Glen Coe, the drive through there is beautiful in all weathers "
All four seasons, totally different and stunning. Also love Rannoch Moor. Although I had a flat tyre in the middle of the road, never crapped myself as much in my life changing a tyre. It was like the moors in the American werewolf in London

I agree with you, silver sands of Morar are lovely, as well as Camusdarrach beach between Arisaig and Mallaig. |

" totally agree, if theres not much traffic about can look a very desolate place, always amazes me how far you can see and not a sign of anybody else there,no houses, nothing, gives the impression that youre the only ones on the planet |

I always loved this area as a kid, and after going back last year, after not being there for over 20 years, my opinion hasn't changed.
But the Trossachs (in general), Loch Katrine and Callander are amazingly beautiful.

"The fairy pools in Skye ????
sadly over crowded "
Only according to CNN. Yes some of the more popular attractions can get 'busy' at peak time in summer but our busy is no where near as busy as say Edinburgh.
But its a big, big island with many places, much better than the 1 or 2 that all the tour buses go to |
