Is it ok when on a night out to call a beautiful young woman a "dirty wee fuck bucket" because she politely declines to let you buy her a drink? Come on guys!!!

I couldn't agree more. On this occasion though the girl did nothing wrong. She seemed very shy and didn't know what to do with herself. Half the pub heard it. I wanted to go give her a big bear hug and say there there love, don't you listen to that nasty man.haha

The difference is you're 44 and have some life experience. It was at a quiet bar in a small town. I did say to the girl he's only done said that because he was embarrassed at the rejection with a bruised ego.

I couldn't stand by and let someone say that to a young girl, I'd have given him an absolute earful and probably gotten myself kicked out.

In fact it's happened on more than one occasion. Can't stand bullies

Man insults woman in pub. Stop the press.

Far more serious things going on in the world, the country and your locality to 'report'.

Some young ladies are able to speak out for themselves! And take no crap!

I am 47 now. I would have challenged him verbally and stood up for myself.

A young Max would have thrown her drink to his face and stood up from herself!

I don't think it is anything to do about life experience but more to do with personality.

Ye i agree Max. My 27 year old daughter would have brought him down a peg quite nastily. So would I but maybe with a bit more decorum nowadays.

Why didn’t you if I were in earshot I’d have tore the guy apart with words and ripped him a new arsehole how dare anyone speak to another person like that

I’m a bit like a pitbull when it comes to protecting others

It would be interesting to know if the guy in question was sober or d*unk!

Some of the dodgy messages I get on here from 'sober' guys, I am 100% sure that they would not have the balls to say them to my face... unless feeling brave after a few drinks!

I wonder what the "White knight" bashers will label you as?

To the two people who seem to think it's fine to talk to any woman this way, the 1970's called. They want you back home.

the same sort of thing happened to me on a late night bus home on a sat night, the young guy thought he could ridicule a female sitting on her own,i put him in his place and his mates even backed me up after a few heated words, maybe I got away with it because I am older and suited and booted.

Where does it say it's fine to speak to women, or anyone like that on here?

The undercurrent behind the post was demeaned, that's all.

But feel free to ride in on your white charger to endear yourself to the ladies anytime.
