Love Cj's .... wish we could get there more often than we do .
After8 ....... been there Once ......and that was one to mant times!!!!!!.
Cj's wins hands down by a mile.!!!

Been to After 8 several times and had some fun. However, its pretty desperate and packed with single guys. Never been to CJ's but I reckon its the place to be. |

go to after 8 all the time and i love it there the place is looking fantastic with all the refurbishments. always have a good time when i go and a great laugh. if you get the chance go along even if you've been before as you wont recognise the place now |

So much so that im going 3 times this month. 
Been to After 8 once, it wasnt the worst night of my life, but wouldnt go out my way to go. But aye would go back. |

Why cant people visit both clubs and enjoy themselves, I would think there is room for both in Scotland. At the end off the day people will vote with there feet. PS been to both. |

We`ve been attending CJs parties regularly since it`s humble beginnings and over the years we`ve had some of the best nights of our lives  and met some amazing people along the way
It 100% deserves the praise it is recieving here as week after week the team at CJs do their very best to ensure everyone has a great night in a spotlessly clean & safe enviroment

been to after 8 n a cpl in blackpool ...not in a hurry to return!!!never been to cjs..but have met her at a private function,so already know shes a lovely lady ..not been to club yet hoping to soon ..was trying to make it for my 50th this sat but cany see it happening  xxx have heard nothing but praise for cjs place x |

Been to after8 twice once about 5 yrs ago and once about 3 months ago. On the other hand I try to get through to Glasgow to visit the wonderful people and friends in cjs once a month. Beautiful surroundings, safe (which makes a big difference to a single fem) and boy o boy o boy I have had some amazing nights and made some very good friends. There is no pressure at all to play. Just go for it xx |

It has been a while, I found it very clayey, smokey and seedy. I understand it may have been freshened up but the fact I'd rather travel 50 miles to CJs than 5 to After 8 sums it up I think.
You'll need to visit CJs ! I'll even get you a drink lol x |

CJs every time.
I've been to plenty of clubs in the UK (Chameleons, La Chambre, Cupids) and plenty more overseas (Fun4Two Holland, Relate Orlando, Nightmoves Tampa). I'd say CJs is more like a well organised house party rather than a club, which works so much better and an excellent starting point for newbies. After8 on the other hand simply use a brothel/massage parlour.
In my personal opinion, CJs is warm friendly relaxed with a party atmosphere.
After8 felt cold cliquey rudimentary and clandestine.
At After8, you get the feeling you are there to do something illegal, it's a basic establishment no frills, like an illicit drinking hole in the prohibition days. However, at CJs as everyone there are consenting adults, and we aren't paying each other for sex, then what ever goes on within 4 walls is our business. The atmosphere is like a party, it's just like Caroline had invited you into her own home (lol lol) |

If you read my post properly, you'll understand what I mean. After8 gave me the feeling of doing something illegal, not that it was. And the reference to not paying for sex is a legal bench-mark; consenting adults can do whatever they want in private as long as no one charges for sex. Most clubs charge an entrance fee, however this is clearly demarcated for the use of facilities not for any sexual acts.
Strangely, in Holland, it's not uncommon for a single guy or guys to play with a woman or couple in a club and then be asked to "contribute" for her services afterwards, this came as a shocker to me!
The post was never meant to offend or be offensive. If you took it as that, then that's your personal interpretation, and I don't wish to change anyones view one things. |

Have been to both and have to say CJs was the one for me. Great atmosphere, great home and Caroline is a peach, totally mad of course! Will def be going back and taking a friend |

In a way I kinda agree with you. I went to after 8 last year and had the most terrible experience. I found the place seedy and pretty unkempt if i'm honest. Despite the door being closed during play time univited guys kept coming in. Was a horrible night lol and one I don't plan on repeating. I did meet a sexy blonde lady tho and I bloody wish I could remember her user name!! xx |

Won't get drawn in to the debate of what After8 is and isn't, I'll leave that to others who have been, but it's interesting for me to read the above re CJs.
I've no experience of clubs, at all, and an overall limited swinging experience, but had started thinking about maybe attending a club but wasn't sure of the "pressure" to participate. However the above review/comments re newbies and it having a party feel have certainly eased my mind and probably helped encourage me to maybe venture further in this journey lol...Now, just need to find someone to take along |

The only club we have ever been to is CJ's and to be honest we would never consider going anywhere else. Never been to the After 8 and never will due to the horror stories we have heard of the place. Been a while since we have been to CJ's but looking to get back there soon. Hope to see you all there xx |

That can be the problem with a thread like this. People have their own opinions but with horror stories the rest of us don't know all the reasons why.
Sometime people can take the huff because things didn't go to plan(ie they never got a shag that night), they got told off for not obeying the few rules there are - eg no high heels on beds during play as rips the protective rubber sheets, no drinks in playrooms for safety reasons etc
Thats why I feel people should try places for themselves. Everywhere is different as are the people who attend on the night. |
