As we are newbies on the site we have a wee question, if you are having a hotel meet do you use good hotels or budget ones?

Really up to you. Also depends on the hotel.

Travel lodges and premier inns work well for most.

Depends how much you want to pay.

There are some hotels that rent the rooms for a few hours.

Have used various in Glasgow. My favourite is the Grand Central. Quite nice, huge, amaonymous and a Champagne bar to meet before the fun begins.
