For a man who has spent most of his life either in uniform or wearing a suit I’ve been a wee bit out of practice recently

So just pulled on a pair of shoes that are not Karrimor, Nike, Adidas or whatever and grabbed a clean white shirt, black tie and black suit as I’m attending a family funeral this afternoon

Suddenly I feel uncomfortable, maybe because I’ve lost 2st since I last wore this suit I don’t know.

Ah well off we go I hate funerals

Well done on losing 2 stone, women love a man in a crisp white shirt and dark suit.

But I expect you know that.

Don’t ever wear trainers with a suit. Those dress down Friday clowns should be executed

Well done on your weight loss (if it is intentional) and sorry for your loss.

Depends on the person and their whole style!

I know someone that looks pretty handsome in a suit with trainers and his dreadlocks! He certainly can pull it off!

Cheers guys for condolences etc was an interesting day carrying a coffin in thick snow.

Suit back in the wardrobe temporarily as got another one this week on the other side of the family, this one even closer to home.

Then I’m in court on Thursday so the suit is well worn this week.

Used to feel like part of my skin as I wore one daily, now it’s funerals only.

To answer someone above yes the weight loss was voluntary been attending the Doc and had various scans etc and have had to make a few serious life changes.

One of the main reasons I’ve not been as active in the swinging scene as I once was. If all goes well this week with CT results and Tribunals then the real healing process for me begins and who knows I might once again pop up sitting next to some of my old “pals” in here again

Cheers for the support and hope to see some of you soon

Rok xx

For me, suits are for funerals, interviews and court appearances!*

I haven't worn one for work since the 1980's, and hate wearing them now.

* I've only been in court as a witness and a juror!

Very few men wear suits outwith their place of employment now. A generation ago, it was the norm to wear them on nights out, weekends.

Thank goodness we're all smart casual now.
