Can men use women for sex?

Caught an old episode of Frasier this morning and the lead character was bemoaning the fact to the housekeeper about women using men for sex to get what they want, when Daphnie (housekeeper) counters with, men can use women for sex too. Frasier retorts 'how can men use women for sex, when sex is what we want?'
Is Daphnie right, is there such a member of the male species out there who can actually do this?

no alot of guys think woman dont want sex. they feel they are constantly chasing sex.......which they are woman learn the social construct far better than most men.

Think you're missing the point. Of course men and women use one another for sex, but I mean using sex to get what they want.
Want a new handbag, jewellery etc? Then the promise of sex may help in the purchase of said products, but what alternative does a guy have, if say he wants something?
Remember, sex is what he wants.

I think it happens quite a lot. A guy staying with someone he's really not too bothered with, so she will pay for his stuff, pay the rent and whatever else he wants.
But it goes the other way around just the same.

Not too sure if that's the same thing. I've looked back to my original post and noticed I misquoted what was said in the programme.

Why is it we would be offended if people judged us for being very sexual but its ok for us to say things like that about people who are not sexual  |

Unfortunately yes it does happen and it happened to me as well. I was used for sex and for his own personal gain too. It was horrible and I had done nothing to deserve it. I thought we were friends but obviously not. It had an awful effect on me, the way I was treated by this man but fortunately after a while I came through it and I'm stronger now, thanks to the friends who I have made on this site. I know I will never let another man treat me that way again. I want to take this opportunity of thanking my friends and new ones too for all your support and being there for me. It means so much to me and I am a happier person for it. You know who you are  x |

I think that happens more in a relationship maybe a little more difficult with randoms.. couples learn to do that to each other lol I did it for 25yr and so did my ex partner and we knew we were doing it which made it more fun lol |

Of course I’ve had friends with money often used by guys, clothes mobile phones watches aftershave and lots of money, never fully committing to relationship but coming by for sex, I had a friend used to offer men gifts for sex as well |
