Anyone else found that to be the case? Unless you are into camping! Been searching for a break in Pitlochry/Loch Lomond/Crieff and all are asking £130+ for two nights.

Glasgow ish

We booked the Fraser suits and got a good price but we booked it in early December 17 for this February. We have been struggling though to find anywhere with a private got tub that isn't a fortune or fully booked for months on end. Xx

Is that £130 per night for 2 night sor £130 for 2 nights ! If it’s the latter it’s fine !!

So using booking.com 26th to 28th Jan I can get some around the £160 starting price , so £80 per night ! Does say it’s limited and only 2 rooms left , has a pool etc ! Others available some are expensive ! Booking.com is always worth a try ! The one I said above was pay on arrival and can be cancelled as well !!

Just one I found , but in general it does seem expensive ! I have noted that weekends in Aberdeen hotels have been quite reasonable as I have been looking for my wife and I to have a wee escape !!

I think that is reasonable if it is for 2 and includes breakfast

Edin

I think they are the cheapest months if you exclude valentines weekend, don’t think it’s a bad price at all.

We had a look as well, anything with private hot tub was proving to be expensive.

Why not try an apartment instead of a hotel room? You get way more space and sometimes it works out cheaper.

Will check out trivago. There are some good deals with premier inns but they are generally in key cities and not where I am looking. A hot tub in addition sounds even more appealing!

Kirkcaldy

We used Booking.com for a trip to Edinburgh. What I did was check in with my dates and the apartment we were looking for but didn’t book it. That’s when you start getting emails with lower prices, we saved over £50 on the original price.

No it’s just Pitlochry is seriously overpriced due to the amount of tourist traffic. Pretty much the reason I prefer camping lol.

Stayed at a lovely hotel at Balmaha on the shores of Loch Lomind before. Was quite reasonable if I remember.

Over there

I agree, prices do seem up. The summer in some Scottish areas 'is fully booked already' according to a pal in the industry.

itison also has some OK deals - be fussy about which hotel, as they have some dafty cheap, however having stayed in the place already for work you need to avoid!
