I enjoy a sequel if its actually worth it and it works in with the first movie and continues the story, but I hate when they make them just for the money or the hell of it.
Hate when they remake old movies which they do way too much these days, never as good as the originals |

Not even seen the first Jujami, so will not be able to pass comment on it.
Film franchises, remakes and sequels have been around since the start of Hollywood.
There are countless versions of Dracula for instance. And the 3 Musketeers is made every couple of years!
Some stories are just good stories however not all films of those stories are good. |

I think it depends on the film itself. Remakes I tend to avoid due to the fact that they destroy something the original had; case in point Robocop, the remake was just bad.
What does get my wick is when a studio deliberately leaves a cliffhanger and they then either don't reference it (Prometheus) or don't bother making the film due to poor ticket sales (he-man in the 80's, Eragon, Flash Gordon).
My 2p worth on the topic |

Not seeing any more of this crap to be honest - The Rock will never be Alan. The Last Jedi sucked so much the most popular character has near disregarded it.
IMO the only 'fresh' content I've seen (possibly more to do with film rights) began with Iron Man..the MCU. Incomparable box office if you consider each movie a sequel; a part in the story. A slight bias as a comic book guy for over two decades, but the figures don't lie and apparently it's "cool" now.
For many these stories are new and for myself they have been adpated. I love it.
Just flinging that in there as my view. |

Don't forget the lesser known Prequels.
However some do work, such as The Thing prequel (2011).
However in a way, I wish it hadn't as it's green-lit what they're calling a sequel, but is in essence a remake of The Thing (Kurt Russell version) which in itself was a remake.

POINT BREAK 1991, with Keanu Reeves, Gary Busey, Lorry Petty, Vincent Klyn, Anthony Kiedis and of course the late Patrick Swayze
.
fantastic classic movie, and then they totally fuck it up with a remake in 2015 which was utter crap |

Agree remake was shite bit don’t see how it fucks the original up. If it’s a shite sequel yes, it impacts on the films history. But the shite remake can just be ignored as a seperate entity and still fondly remember the original |
