It can happen. Use a thinner condom? Or as already suggested a cock ring will help maintain an erection once it’s hard.
Just need to buy the right size for his girth as they come in different sizes. |

As Falcon43 said, correct sized condoms are essential. Normal, large, extra large are available. (thank goodness) lol. You could try playing with his balls or even his shaft as you put the condom on for your man. A quick suck and hey ho he's ready to go x |

I have on occasion went soft as soon as I start putting a condom on, it's as if it thinks I'm punishing it a quick stroke or two and maybe a little suck and it's ready to go though |

We used to not use them. Now due to contraception change we have to.
I have done the whole stroking etc. Sadly to no avail.
Will try to get other condoms and try them out. Maybe invest in a better cock ring too. |

I think its linked with the fact that condoms can feel a bit medical and it can break the intimacy - rolling it on using your mouth is pretty good if you can manage the technique - don;t try it with spermicidal coated condoms though! |

I agree it's more to do with breaking a flow and "hang on till I pop this on" it's really a mental thing. That being said I'd always prefer to use than not |

It's not just for me mainly. It's for when he is out meeting other couples and females too.
I have tried to roll it on with my mouth etc but sadly no avail.

It's happened a couple of times, sometimes even when you have trouble opening the packet
Like others have said, make sure they are the right size and try to get thinner feel ones |

"Do many men find that putting on condoms makes them lose their erection?
How can you prevent this?
Any tips or advice to give?
"
It can do yes, the obvious answer is to take some viagra/cialis obviously.
However the best “cure” in my experience is to persevere. Use a condom every single time you have sex or jack off.
Pretty soon you get used to it and cannot tell the difference as it just feels normal.
There is a make of durex condone that really help but I’m afraid I forget the name.
They are ultra thin and don’t have that wee bobble at the end to catch your ejaculate. And like a previous poster stated, get the correct size. |

Yep it happens , absolute passion killers unfortunately but essential , for me it's a timing thing , love loads of foreplay and fucking isn't the main show so putting them on and whipping them off is a killer , suppose it's all about trying to keep the mood and stimulation going |

you wouldn't put socks on that are too small so why use just any size condom?
If condom is too tight then erection will fail.
Get the correct size then it's nearly impossible to feel when wearing it |

As the evening gets hotter and I want to put a condom on a guy...
Put condom in my mouth (this takes practice).
Put penis in mouth and align penis head to condom.... slowly roll a bit over with mouth and then use your hand to unroll along the shaft as you suck and lick his penis. With practice a guy will not loose his erection....hee hee
Ladies (or men) its pretty fun to try....
Xxx |

Try a site called "they fit" I'm quite thick in girth and your run of the mill condoms are to tight .
There Condoms are made to measure |

Oh god, the dreaded...stop all sexual activity to put on a piece of rubber over my sensitive cock.
I've never had a problem with my erection of the woman wraps it up for me. It's very sexy watching her, and she still gets to play with it. |

Thank you all. It's just a nightmare. When we use them I do that technique but sadly still goes soft.
Also it's for mainly when he goes to meets and clubs. I understand everyone is different. We will be testing out different ones this week.
Not complaining at all. |

Most likely to be due to a little anxiety, especially in club setting. If he has no trouble getting hard in the first place then a cock-ring could certainly help prevent loss of erection, or at least slow it so it is not such a problem. |

It happens . Try switching to feather lite or natural feel ones. Best thing is not to make an issue take a natural pause go back a step . Play a little more. Edging takes practice but include condom play . Make it fun. At first it completely knocks confidence but you do get over it . Plenty of other things you could get up to and the hard on comes back sooner rather than later. Happy swinging guys |

Never used them myself but a friend used to and said it sounded like someone was rustling a Tesco bag in the room! "

Sounds more like stage fright than the condom which is more common than you may think x |

Stage fright is not the problem. I would be a problem if he could not get a hard on in the first place.
The problem is more likely to be the lose of feeling when it is on. I have had this problem. Removed the condom and got a blowjobs with the same women and I was back in action.
Maybe rings or different style of condom may help. I have not found the "cure" but I have not had time to practise. |

Durex XL are a good fit, easier to put on than the standard condom.
They say XL but in reality there isn't much difference just saves you having to try to stretch on then awkwardly roll down |

I find that putting a condom on squeezes the blood down the way therefore resulting in the erection not being as powerful as it was. That said, a tight grip and squeezing the upwards only for a little bit seems to get the blood where it needs to go. Ring on condom helps keep it where it needs to be in my experience |

I am going to try all these techniques. Over the next two weeks.
I don't think he will complain. !
I just hope he can find something that helps for when he goes to clubs. Don't want him letting himself get into a slump or having anxiety over it.

I’ve never heard a man or woman say ‘oh yippeee Condoms, they make sex sooooo much better’
As you’ve said though it’s a necessity. I’ve known lots of men have issues so agree with lots of tips above too.
For me I keep having fun with a guy even if the condom causes a reaction, kissing, playing etc hopefully puts him back in the mood |

It happens.
You could try using a wand on the underside of the shaft and perineum (and depending on your fella a teasing finger around the perianal area.)
That and oral combined can be mindblowing. |

"So maybe it could be anxiety when he is with other ladies? "
There’s a bit of ambiguity in your description of the problem which is leading to people arguing over the solution. (Christ, it’s like Brexit.)
Is the issue that he’s getting hard enough, but losing his erection at the point he tries to put it on?
Or, is the issue that, having got hard enough to put it on, he’s losing his erection during sex?
Or, is the issue that, on the occasions he knows he needs to use a condom, he never gets hard enough?
It’s unclear which you are describing. They are three different problems, with three different probable causes, and three different solutions. |

A former play parnter of mine used to put them on me using her mouth.
She said she heard it was the method used by whores and she had practiced using bananas and bottles. Until she got her technique perfected. |

The proper size helps a lot; I'm not the longest guy. in the world (just above average, so not complaining mind), but I am quite "girthy", so normal ones can make me soft...slightly larger size and the girth is accommodated better: longer hard-ons for all.
Anxiety can build if you have a soft moment, it can really dent the confidence, and then it's a whole "thing"..
Maybe just have LOTS of condom-wearing sex now you've found the right size, and take it from there...eventually his brain will forget about it, and let nature take it's course. |
