I think the standard black shadowy figure is listed after by the majority of the fems here as it creates a deep sense of mystery about the person.

On profiles I look at the content & relevance to what I'm looking for. I also pay attention to status updates.
As for pics, there should be some, not necessarily a face pic, but face pics should be exchanged early on.
