Are verifications really the be all and end all on here. They are so easily faked, we get guys everyday offering to give us a verification if we send them some pics, so we can't see what the big deal about verifications are.

Verifications aren't the be all and end all but can help suss someone out. Use common sense and the fakes are relatively easy to spot.

"Even though their verifications could be false? "

If a profile is, say a week old and verified and the verification is by someone who has not long joined either, I usually take it as a fake. Well I don't believe it so I would need a lot of convincing.

I trust verification of people who I know on here, chatted too, in chat or even forums. SO if a newbie has been verified by someone I know then I see bit as trust worthy, the rest im still unsure so I treat them as the same.

Everything can be faked but it is a case of examining the profile and accompanying chat with a slightly jaundiced eye until proven otherwise.

For instance, if I was contacted by a Sparse profile with one photo of a young blonde I would be immediately suspicious.

Agree with this, plus they can give a flavour to someone you don't get from just a profile.

I think it's quite easy to spot the fakes verifying fakes

"Definitely verifications for me. Recent ones which must be non-cam"

As a rule I only meet verified users. Hopefully reduces the pic collectors and fakes.

I have verified brand new profiles in the past if I’ve met them on a previous profile they have had xx

If a guy with a profile of 10 months with no verifications posted this he would get torn to shreds.

Just saying....

They are not the be all but they can serve to assist in deciding whether you believe someone is genuine

A necessary part of the site to an extent but remember we were all newbies at one time. We have to get them somehow.

Very true, and I will sometimes meet new joiners but as a purely social meet.

I take all verifications with a pinch of salt and the person is only real to me when i meet them face to face .

10 months with no verification, raises alarm bells with me. Definitely would not trust anyone that has been here that long and not had a verification from someone that is known

'met this amazing guy/girl at the greedy girls gang bang at my flat where you pay to get in and wipe your feet on the way out. let me tell you they are one hot piece of stuff'

that kinda puts me off.

I'd assume some sherlock work would give you an indication that the system does work to an extent

Not the be all and end all but a fair guide , I tend to look at who is verifying as well , but instinct is always the best guide

Verifications can be that extra peace of mind that someone is genuine. Wouldn't turn down someone if they don't have any though, if the chat's right, the attraction's there and you got a good feeling about the person x

Too many veris and too descriptive ones can be a turn off though x

We have our verifications hidden and only show our most recent verifications, most of our are social veris anyway but plenty of play ones in there too

Yes verifications can be faked so easily, so for that fact we only trust if it’s people we know that’s verified them but every now and then we take a chance on some people especially if it’s while we are on our travels

Too descriptive can be a turn off but quantity doesn't unless the majority are from the same person

"Too many veris and too descriptive ones can be a turn off though x"

Can be put off but it's the view of the person displaying the veri and the reason behind, wanting to display a descriptive veri

Sometimes I have given a descriptive veri and also one for public lololl

The descriptive one, (descriptive us quite a loose word and can be viewed differently), is for them to look back on, if they display it, it's up to them. The public one is just that for public display

I've never left one nor would I ever display one, when I do very occasionally meet it's after a while chatting and would always Skype before meeting in person, fortunately I've never came across any fakes.

Well said and agree with although I don't need nor ask for a veri. It's always been the other who have asked me for a veri, so I don't mind sending them a veri
