Just on way back from the docs and chemist with Jo and the kids and seen 3 kids (13-15 ages) about to chuck 2 shopping trollies into the burn at Town park in Glenrothes.... Loads of cars passed and did nothing.
So, me been me (once a copper, always a copper, lol ) parked up and confronted them. Suggested that I can either get the police for criminal damage or theft, their choice. Either of them would result in parents sitting at the police station. They not very happy at thought, so I said to them why not take both trollies back, 1 to lidl and 1 to asda and ill follow them to make sure they do it.... so sure enough followed them for about a mile to Asda/Lidl to see them deliver the trollies back.
Am I a meanie?

PS, I did give them £3 between them to go to asda and get a can of juice for their trouble, lol

a true copper now-a-days would have taken a payment from the kids for a few cans of juice for himself as bribery for his silence, sat and watched the kids fling the trollies into the water......or is that just police in glasgow? |
