New Swingers Club in the works for Scotland

It's been established that swingers clubs (adult spa's/parties) are the best venues for first time meets.
Scotland only has 2 of such. "CJ's "in Glasgow and "After 8" in Edinburgh.This is unacceptable and Explains a lot about the poor swinging etiquette, especially in other towns.
Lots of people have a huge misconception on what it means to swing and it's not their fault.(Thanks to all these dating apps)

I am another with no interest in clubs, OP, but what I do know is that your attitude and arrogance is doing little to win you friends, and by extension, customers, should this project ever get beyond the talking stage. |

I appreciate your honest assumptions.
What you see as an "attitude" others might see as "Assertive", what you call "Arrogance" a few might see as "Confidence".

Swining clubs are not for me as I have been and do not like. therefor the speak my mind is form experience.
if I go to a party or a swinging meet, I usually know the people and know I will enjoy their company. I don't like going to a swinging club as there are lovely people there but there's also people who I have no interest in and would not want to be in their company. So this is my reason why I do not like them. No assumption from me, the only assumption was from you |

I've lived in Dundee all my life, and I really don't understand the snobbish attitude towards it. Is there a stereotype I'm unaware of?
If there is, perhaps someone can elighten me as to what's so wrong with Dundee.
It could be said that Edinburgh is posh and stuck up, and Glasgow is run down and chavvy. Neither of these statements are true, the fact is that every city has good and bad areas.
I don't come on here slagging off anyone else's home so I would appreciate it if people would stop doing it to mine.

Not being sensitive at all. I have noticed that Dundee seems to receive quite a few derogatory comments that nowhere else seems to, and I'm wondering why that is. It's rather tiresome.

I've got to say when I moved up to Dundee when be got posted to Arbroath I expected the worst.
Hand on heart I have never met a better bunch of people in my life.
Being English I expected to struggle with the accent but no.

I wish anyone luck who decides to try an new venture and branch out from the "norm" sadly it's seems scots are not as welcoming and a tad stuck in their ways ....I think that needs to change ....I think we need to be more welcoming to new faces, new ideas I think the scots swingers are way more judgemental than those south of the border.

People would travel, if people all over Scotland can travel to the only clubs we've got right now then I don't see why a club in Dundee wouldn't work as long as its run properly it won't have any issue standing out from the rest i know we'd travel now and again if any other club opened, we already go down south as it is so wouldn't make much difference

Ok I've read the whole post. I have a few points:-
Clubs are not the best way to meet in my opinion. I'd rather have a social meet in a bar or cafe.
Please don't go down the route of killing kittens, swinging should be for everyone not the pretty elite.
Clubs should be accessible to all. There are other threads on this as well.
Finally I don't see the point of the post unless opening is imminent. Someone else posted how easy it should be to organise socials then disappeared. I feel this may go the same way.
Additionally, it would need to be a great club. Many are now travelling to English clubs that have better facilities.

Dundee could be a great location. You'd definitely get people from Aberdeen, but its within easy reach of Edinburgh, and even Inverness is doable (we're always getting messaged from Inverness), there'd be quite a large catchment area.
Its near enough to be convenient for a lot of us, while not being on our doorstep.
For those travelling from further afield, hotel prices aren't as steep as Glasgow or Edinburgh, so there's more scope to go on a budget, or twice as often.
The main reason we go to clubs elsewhere is largely because there just isn't much choice up here. |

Agreed. Dundee is about the same size as Aberdeen and that club ran for years. I don't see why one wouldn't take off here.
Plus I've had people travel from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness for my parties, so I think there would be enough interest.
Especially for people up north for whom Glasgow and Edinburgh are too far to travel. |

I doubt that.
If anything at all, it will be filled with people from nearby towns.
The reason people are discreet on the site is the same reason people wouldn't want to swing in their local clubs... nobody wants to be identified as a Swinger in public.
And I doubt the youngins would want to come anywhere near the naked bodies of the elders in their community. |

Working in the tourism industry in Dundee we can only confirm it is booming! Dundee is central to Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, Inverness and close to Fife.
With the V&A opening in 2018 and redevelopment of the foreshore they are only adding to what is already a stunning city. Not to mention the people that live in this city are fabulous, friendly and so welcoming.
We would support a club in Dundee and I'm sure many others would too.
Easy access and good location are just some of the good selling points.

Ffs is this really the mentality on this site for the Scottish scene?
A bunch of ppl with nothing better to do than to take offence to get into an argument. Not to mention the barrage of negative comments and mindset around actually opening a new venue!
Anyone else see what's wrong with this picture?
Someone or a group of people are looking to start something new, why not give them support? Why not encourage them?
It doesn't matter if it doesn't come to light at the end, what matters is the support and encouragement. The more support and encouragement the more people will try until someone is successful.
No wonder there is only 2 clubs! Theres a clear lack of a demand based on the attitude and replies from this and multiple posts before it.
Here's a challange for all You trolls, try going 24hrs without complaining and see just how much of a positive impact it has on your day!

The speak of trolls is due to people in the past saying they'll open a club just for attention, once you've been around the scene for several years then you'll notice this more and more, anyway if this guy is genuine or not more clubs need opened in Scotland, if not Glasgow or Edinburgh
We've got limited options at the moment, glasgow you've either got Shoebox (more aimed at greedy girls) CJs (which personally I feel has lost its way and for us just not an option anymore due to many factors) few different apartments over the city for gangbangs and a few different couples now and again who arrange parties but these end up being a free for all and not in a good way, also the Auld school for the more kink side of things but we've still to try the kink nights there as we've never been to a proper bdsm night apart from kink night at cjs but that wasn't upto much at all and sadly was more of a TV night and an excuse for others to throw on some pvc and get shopping for alcohol before buying hygiene products
Edinburgh you've got After8 which is a good club but a bit on the small side
And sadly that's about it! Scotland sucks, which makes some clubs drop the ball and not care knowing they've got a captive crowd who for some don't have any other option but to go week in week out even if they hate it
It makes more sense to drive down south to another club, by time you pay travel costs and entrance costs (which are a lot cheaper and more value for money down south) then you'll soon start driving down south more often once you start (we bought a campervan to save on hotel costs plus a lot easier to get ready for a club in the back of a camper than it is the back of a car lol)
A club somewhere in central Scotland would be a good shout, somewhere rural so they can open up the outdoors and maybe a hot tub would rock but sadly don't see that happening anytime soon
We organise socials, half the time it's more effort than it's worth but if everyone tries to make a positive impact in the scene then overall it will become a lot better
I know I rant now and again but i genuinely don't have a bad word to say about most of the scene, just the ones who try to abuse the scene or who have no respect for others. If you had a local pub and certain staff/regulars ruin everyone else's good time you'd be quick to say something or go elsewhere, the club scene shouldn't be any different
We've got a better scene north of the border than down south, they've just got the facilities, we've got something in the pipeline but not something we are rushing into as we are enjoying a few years of taking things as easy as possible for now while we decide if it's worth the effort/risk

If I had the money I would open a club here. Not straightaway though, I would need to have regular party nights to gauge the level of interest and whether or not it would be a viable option.
It's a huge step from organising parties to running a club, and I just don't have the capital to get up and running.
I wholeheartedly support another club in the north east, and it would be nice to have one where I don't have to drive 90 mins to get there. Not travelling would be a nice change |

Seen so many talk a good talk. The reality is those who would use it are a tiny percentage of the populace. The counci/lgovt dont really want it on their doorstep so put stumbling blocks to discourage it. Mistrust is anouther big issue there have been so many charlatans and quick buck didis. In short to open a club you would probably need very deep pockets to establish a clientele or do as others before have and not be 100% legit. Also because of numbers so few places in scotland would be viable |

Agree with this... also feel that coming from a hospitality background people forget that's at the forefront of a club or should be in my opinion. So many "swingers" go to clubs and think I could do that it's easy money when it's so much more than flinging a few beds together.
The legalities for me make it more hassle than it's worth and unfortunately without licenses in place it becomes a booze up, I can go to any pub and get d*unk if that's what I was looking for. Wish the op the best of luck as others have said they travel all over the U.K. So they'll travel to Dundee

And for the record my comments about hygiene isn't at any one person in particular as trust me there is a few, a lot of people stopped making an effort going to a club a long time ago. If you stink then deal with it, don't cry about it. Make an effort, wear something nice (not the same thing every week)
