difficult one that!
on the one hand you don't want to create competition with established venues - but there again a little competition can be a good thing.
where are scotland's swingers? - do a postcode search but are peeps on here for clubs or private house parties- check out the events. both might help you plot/map out a venue.but do peeps go to clubs on their doorstep or prefer to travel?
think also where our major roads/motorways meet - that would be perth although some would say stirling - so if you want to serve as wide a catchment area as possible that might be an option.
also are your thinking of city break or highland gettaway? townhouse or beach penthouse? (well ok may be not beach in scotland
wherever and whatever you decide, remember the cops/media do monitor forums so be careful. whilst many peeps dont mind a big truncheon, you wouldn't want to be nicked/papped.
best of luck with your research |

Always nice to have a new venue to go to. Last Year when I was in a relationship we were looking to set up a venue in fife. There are certainly lots of naughty people in the Kingdom but then again there certainly seems to be a lot of naughty peeps all over Scotland. Since you are in Stirling, which is more or less the middle of Scotland I would go for somewhere local to you. |

somewhere in fife, dundee or perth as there prity central
ie from dundee to edin = 1 hour drive
dundee to aberdeen = 1 hour ish
that way you are not on a difrent clubs door step as sterlings close to glasgow is it not?

fife is deff needing somthing for us swingers, and think dundee would be a great option very central and wouldn't clash with any of the clubs in scotland at the mo and we would vist regular. |

Dundee to Aberdeen for sure. Lots of cash rich visitors to Aberdeen to make it work. We only have a gay club which opens 1 weekend a month to couples. Compare that to Birmingham which has no money and a club open from 11am 7 days a week and rammed from the off. Its a no brainer just forget the Spa, pool and other expensive to run stuff.
Good luck and msg me for any advice on here. |

The Police Force in Scotland are coming down heavy on any sexual activity.
Clubs, dogging, prostitution, massage parlours, lap dancing clubs etc are all losing their licences once the current ones expire........
Edinburgh not quite as parochial as Glasgow but still bad...........
Better to organise something like CJ's where it is all organised from a private house. This way it looks like a private party......
Just be very careful how you advertise........ |

" THEYRE STILL IN THE MIDDLE AGES"
Dark ages more like. I mean I can to a point understand cracking down on public prostitution and lap dancing clubs (given the seedy living-off immoral earnings holier than though brigade but a venue for swingers would be no more than a private members club. if its run by members for members what is the big deal? |

Does anyone know the legislature for running a private club/house party where people pay to come along? I know it changes drastically when a liquor license comes into play. I do remember years ago a group of men getting done for having a party in a golf club near giffnock. |

Stirling or Perth would be good as both have good road links though Stirling has the best train links to Inverness, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh
Not sure about the legal bits. Perth had a S and M club running in a pub function room but got closed down as was selling sex gear and should have had a sex shop license for this. From the press reports it was the selling not the playing that got it shut. It was probably under a bit more scrutiny thro the pub license for the function room |

"Stirling has the best train links to Inverness, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh"
Did they close Perth station then? - I thought all trains from Inverness/Aberdeen to Glasgow/Edinburgh stopped at Perth & Stirling |

as said above - clubs are illegal or frowned app-on due to the Victorian attitudes of councils but private parties are not, what we do in our own homes is our business so it would have to be that type of thing as for not stepping on other venues feet just do it, competition is good and makes folk think . due to the lack of clubs and venues up here folk have to travel south for a good club as the ones up here are mediocre to say the least compared to some due south

Yes the trains do but while you can go Edinburgh to Perth by car in about 45mins it takes 90mins in the direct train or go across to Stirling and change onto the Glasgow train. To be fair the Glasgow- Aberdeen via Perth service is good. Guess that's what happens when you dig up the direct rail tracks and replace them with a motorway. |
