Hello all.....Kountess of Kink here, and I'm back for a flying visit having lost my bestie on Saturday morning.

It's great to see so many of you reliving happy memories of Laine and stories of her madness!! She would love that and often spoke of fun times, socials and parties with her Fab friends.

As many of you know Laine has fought a hard battle with cancer for 11 years, and this latest battle began in March last year when it was discovered that Laines condition was now terminal.

She had so many problems to overcome but in true Laine style, she dealt with them with determination and humour. Even in pain she rarely complained and would still try to do all the things she was told not to do!! Much to the frustration of everyone else!

Laine made the best of every day and we even managed some wee trips away before it all got too much.

This last while has been very tough and Laine simply decided enough was enough and her decision was respected by all.

I last saw her Thursday night, and although she was sleeping, she knew I was there. She was very peaceful when she left us on Saturday morning, and Titch was by her side.

Funeral details are yet to be announced and I'll keep you all posted, especially those that aren't on her Facebook page.

The world has lost a bit of it's sparkle...she was one of a kind and I'll miss her dreadfully xx

Not heard from you in ages. Hope you're well, despite the awful news about the Lovely Laine.

Drop me a line some time, sweetie.

Take care, Inver xxxx

Though I never knew her, going by the kind posts she must've been a good friend to many on here.

My heart goes out to the ones she left behind.

So sorry to hear this. In my brief conversations with her she was always entertaining and engaging. She was fortunate to have friends such as you with her through her life.

Goodness! So sad to hear this news. She was a real gem of a lady.

A Galaxy Far, Far Away & Spain

I'm abroad at the moment & haven't checked into Fab in ages.

Something made me check the Forums & I spotted Laine being mentioned.

It's so sad to hear of this news. She was my "Fab Mum" & she always looked after me on the site.

I know that if heaven does exist, she'll be one of the angels that will look down watch over her friends & acquaintances - she was just that sort of lady.

Toasting you Laine, with a cup of tea as I write this. RIP Fab Mum
