"So I've been made to watch the lord of the rings this week.
Can someone explain to me how these films are so popular since the story is so slow and undramatic??? "
There is even more slow and undramatic stuff in the books that was left out of the films, so be thankful for that! |

Id say lotr trilogy was very good. Apart from the ending that would never end in the 3rd one...and frodo being a twat in slow mo...
The hobbit trilogy though...kinda crap. Esp the 3rd film entirely. |

They were classed as epics straight from release due to the size of budget and production, which sadly has been taken away due to tv shows like game of thrones who can do the epicness of a 9 hour trilogy in the space of a 1 hour episode!
The cinematography won so many awards which also catapulted the popularity
I love them, if you're not enjoying them, thank your stars you haven't been made to watch the extended blu-rays
