It is Chinese, but the line in FGTH's song is taken from the poem "Xanadu" by Samuel Taylor Colleridge, about Chinese Yuan emperor Kublai Khan's summer palace in Shangdu. |

Yes, but Xanadu is a corruption of Shangdu, a place name. The dirty bit of FGTH was to change the last word in the line from "In Xanadu did Kubla Khan, a pleasure dome DECREE", to "ERECT". Thus it fitted with the tone of "Welcome to the Pleasuredome". |
